Fantastic experience: I studied at LSI for 3 months, and I enjoyed every moment. I feel like my confidence in speaking English has improved a lot. The school staff are amazing people. Andy is a very professional teacher, we talked a lot, he has extensive knowledge and is a great conversationalist! Rob, the principal, is a good person, funny, and also a great teacher! Thank you for everything you taught me, it was an amazing experience!

Negative experience: Classes at Lsi berkeley are sooooo boring! I change to a different school near by and a lot funner and classes are more interesting and people nice and I learning more!

Fantastic experience: I consider that my time at LSI was pretty good, I spent around 8 months there, it was one of the most important events in my life. Obviously I learned ENGLISH there, but for me the most important is the friends that I got through my time, we became like a family, the teachers are so good, I just had the opportunity to take classes with ANDY, I hashed out every time with him, it was fun because in the class each person could say wathever they wanted, other thing about The teachers is that they have a good preparation in universities, which means that they have plenty of knowledge, Robert is a good director, sometimes he didn't say Hi, but for me it is important, because I'm from Colombia, and there is very important greet, so I forced him to greet me all the time ,ohh if you are planning to study there, don't forget to play ping pong is the best thing ever, I became the king of ping pong there. The bad things about there are few, maybe I would invest in infrastructure in some classrooms, but it general is good. To sump up, I really recommend there, if you are reading this and you go, Please say to Robert that Diego was the person who recommend you, thanks.

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience studying at LSI. The teachers here are truly professional, patient, and caring. They always made sure that every student understood the lesson and felt comfortable participating in class. The atmosphere was friendly and supportive, and I met classmates from all over the world, which made learning even more enjoyable. My English improved every single day — not just grammar and vocabulary, but especially my speaking confidence. I learned so many new words and felt myself getting better week by week. One thing I really loved is that every week the school organizes outdoor activities. Sometimes we visit museums, sometimes we go out for group dinners. These activities helped me experience real American culture and made my time here even more meaningful and fun. I LOVE LSI, THANK YOU!!!

Fantastic experience: I spent one and a half months at LSI, and it has been one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. Andy and Rod were incredibly friendly and kind; they were always ready to help with any questions I had. Andy, in particular, stood out as one of the best teachers I've ever had. He has a wonderful sense of humor and an exceptional way of teaching. The classmates at LSI were also all very friendly and outgoing. Even though we had only known each other for a month, it felt as if we had been old friends for years. Thanks to all of them for creating such wonderful memories. I’m going to miss this.

Fantastic experience: Rob Ettman was my favorite English teacher ever back in New York in 2013. I learned a lot while having fun, best combination ever! For those at Berkeley looking for an English teacher, I would truly recommend him! Indeed I happened to study at Berkeley for a year abroad 8 years ago and I wish I had had the opportunity to go to Rob classes again!

Fantastic experience: Hello, I'm from Panama. My experience with LSI has been very positive, from the first day of the admissions process until arriving in San Francisco. It was simple and fast. Robert, the director, is very kind and attentive to the students. He is attentive to everything from the moment you leave your country until you arrive at LSI. My experience with the classes has been very interesting. The teachers use many different methods. Sometimes we complete homework, and when we're done, we play different games related to the activities and assignments. They also take excursions to tourist and cultural sites. There's a very friendly girl named Nara; she's like a tour guide for the students at LSI; she knows a lot of places. Activities with her take place on Wednesdays and Fridays after class. Thanks to them, I saw the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz Island, and Oracle Park, the stadium in San Francisco, California. All that said, I highly recommend LSI. It's an unforgettable experience, and you'll learn a lot and practice your English.

Fantastic experience: An international, professional and welcoming environment I’m really glad I attended this English course. The teachers were well-prepared and great of creating a dynamic and stimulating atmosphere. The morning lessons were well structured, with a good balance between grammar and conversation on current topics. The afternoon was mainly dedicated to speaking, with outdoor activities carried out by Nara, a very very nice girl who was able to transform every moment into fun, inclusive and always useful moments to practice English in real contexts. The group of students was truly international, which greatly enriched the experience, not only from a linguistic point of view. The director of the school was also always available and kind, careful to create a calm and well-organized atmosphere. I recommend this course to those looking for a serious but at the same time open and welcoming experience, with an international spirit and a concrete approach to learning the language.

Fantastic experience: It was an amazing experience!!! The school is very well located, the teachers are very nice, the director too, and everyone in general! Although was my first time in the US, and as a first experience I can just say it was so good!! I’d definitely come back someday! Berkeley is a great zone to walk around after school, and also they do have some activities after school every Wednesdays and Fridays. Nara, who is the activities’s girl was always full of energy, taking us to so many good places in SF, and very helpful when we had questions about where to go! I really enjoyed my time at the school so I would totally recommend it!!

Fantastic experience: Studying at LSI Berkeley (English language school) was a very enriching experience. It offers a welcoming environment, spaces for studying, eating and relaxing outside of classes. It is well located, next to the University of Berkeley. Upon arrival, I was very well received, and attentively, I received explanations of how everything works. The teacher is highly qualified, with communication techniques that facilitate understanding, stimulating the development of the learner's speech. The material covers all topics in the English language in a dynamic and interdisciplinary way. Furthermore, being with people from other countries allows for a good cultural exchange. Also, there are activities outside of school like trips around San Francisco, or Happy Hour, which were a lot of fun.The house where I stayed was impeccable in its treatment of me. Super comfortable accommodation, in a family atmosphere, with good food and excellent moments of friendly conversation. I felt at home. I will miss LSI and Berkeley.

Fantastic experience: good~ english laguage school

Negative experience: I took TOEIC test here on Saturday and it was horrible. In the midst of the listening section, Italian (sounded like so) class started in the next room and it continued for more than 1.5 hours (out of 2 hours), until the end of the entire test session. Thanks to the almost zero sound proofing and no rearrangement of room, it was so loud and apparently almost all the applicants in the room couldn't concentrate and complained after the test. The attending staff must had known the loud class would start during the test and it might affect the applicants, but she did/had not do/done anything but just reading a book. I would never ever take a test here again. I wanna get my money back.

Fantastic experience: It's definitely the best choice to learn English in here. Every where could be your classroom because you are in the U.S, but you'll need a " Family " here. There is no doubt to choose LSI as your first stop of the journey. I was here for six months and met so many friends from different countries, we learned different cultures from each other. It's not only about learning English here, you deserve to get more good experience! Fantastic experience: LSI Berkeley was a great experience for me. The staff there was always really helpful and I had great teacher there. The school is not really big, but really familiar and I always felt really comfortable there :) I learnt a lot about different cultures and countries and I made great frienships there! I really miss Berkeley and LSI and I hope that I'll return someday! :)
