Fantastic experience: AAE is a really great English school. Originally I came from S. Korea and I decided to go to school in L.A, but wow that was a mistake. I didn't learn anything in class, so I decided to move up to the bay area because I heard from my friends in Korea that AAE has a really good program and they also had a lot of fun on the San Francisco campus. I ended up enrolling in Advanced ESL and it was the best decision ever. I feel like my English has improved significantly, and I really recommend this school to anyone who wants to learn and have an amazing experience in class. All the teachers here were really kind and I also want to thank Henry, the director here, for accepting my transfer from LA. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and very welcoming. I really appreciate all the support from him and all the staff members here making my transition smooth. I feel like I'm going to have a great future now because my English has improved so much. Fantastic experience: The best decision I’ve made since coming to the USA was finding AAE — almost by accident — and I couldn’t be happier about it. I’ve been here for a year and a half, and I can feel a drastic improvement in my English, especially in my eloquent vocabulary. I’ve also made friends, which helps me feel like I truly belong. Our teacher has a PhD in English, and learning grammar with him feels like a game — but at the end of the day, it’s the most effective way to master even the most difficult topics. And I wouldn’t be lying if I said we have the nicest admissions department. They are truly amazing and always ready to help students. Thank you, AAE Team!

Fantastic experience: had a pleasant time learning at the school even remotely via Zoom. Staffs were accommodating, kind, and helpful. Spent a decent time (approx 8 months) at the school and was able to make good friends. Hopefully some day, we'll be able to see each other in person.

Fantastic experience: The best English school in the U.S. I have been studying with AAE since my lower intermediate level and I have finished the advanced level. I am more than ready to start my new chapter in the university. AAE teachers and staff are very thoughtful and take good care of everything. Teachers in each level will help you improve your English in person and of course I'm addition to coordinating several group discussions which is good for real world situations. I always have a problem in my writing, reading and grammar. These skills are required when you have Toefl exam. However, it is not my obstacle anymore, to attend a good university or working in the U.S. I have prepared my English well with AAE. I think I will do very well when I study in a university. Furthermore, you can practice English with international friends around the world. I got to know them from the schools. We hang out and share our culture through foods, music and life style. You will never get bored in this school. I am thankful for having awesome teachers who helped my growth. They do not give you only knowledge from the book but also life lessons. I feel like this school gave me such a great opportunity in my life and as a second home when I have to stay far away from my family back in my country. If you are looking for a good school and a good environment to study abroad, I highly recommend American Academy of English. You will not be disappointed.

The also offer a TOEFL night class and it's amazing. I was able to achieve a great score (600+) because the knowledge acquire attending Michael's class. A++++

Fantastic experience: AAE is probably the best school for ESL students. If you plan to go there, do everything to get to the advanced level so you can attend Bali's class. Among all the ESL instructors I've had so far, I can only say that she's the best. Her class is very well organized and she uses great films and songs to teach vocabulary and grammar. I spent two semesters in her class and both my spoken and written English improved a lot. Bali is not only a great teacher but also a very kind, considerate person. I remember whenever any one of her students, including myself, had personal problems, Bali provided her help. So if you plan to go to the AAE in order to study English SL, just ask for Bali's class.

Fantastic experience: Bali's high advanced class is the best language class at AAE in San Francisco. She is the most considerate and experienced teacher I've ever seen in the U.S. in terms of teaching English and American culture!
