Fantastic experience: When I started my Tutoring Journey, I was a little skeptical about getting students. (I teach Marathi, which is one of the major Indian Languages which is spoken in Mumbai and Maharashtra) Then I found Listen & Learn and registered myself as a Tutor there. Initially, it took some time to get my first student but after a few months, I students flow started. Now I have students from all over the world who are Non-Indians and want to learn and pursue a new language. Positive experience: My reason for 4 stars - the initial sign-up process was a little.... weird. We paid for our classes but then took a little amount of time to get an instructor that was local and could work with our availability. However, the fact that the instructor can come to you OR if you have a meeting place is FABULOUS. Our classes were set up to our personal and work schedules and also our instructor is top notch. We can adjust our classes and learning material to what is necessary for our industry, as we are taking a Business Spanish course. HIGHLY recommend!

Fantastic experience: My husband and I have been taking Croatian classes with our tutor Vanja and we are extremely happy with the results. I was nervous that i wouldn't be able to learn quickly, but I have surprised myself. Vanja is friendly and social and even though we are learning through Zoom, I can't imagine the experience being any better. We find online learning helpful because we do not have to rush home from work, have dinner, then commute to class. We have 24 sessions in total and are about 1/4 of the way through. We have already learned so much and oddly enough, although we wished to learn to speak Croatian, we are both comfortable with the reading and writing side of it too. The classes are perfectly paced and as long as you do your homework and practice, I feel anyone will be able to learn. We highly recommend Vanja!

Fantastic experience: Once I tried randomly to get extra income from an online teaching job. Then I found Listen and Learn, the platform which can combine efficiency and flexibility in the teaching and learning process. This is very helpful for me since I got a different time zone but still have a chance to give class without any boundaries by using internet conferences with my students. If you are considering doing the teaching without any limitation of time and place here is the best place to start. Listen and Learn always gives good payment for us as language teachers and it is very easy to handle the administration. Negative experience: I’m sure the company is great if it’s for a more common language, such as Spanish, but I tried learning a very complex language. The instructor was fine, but not reliable. I made a complaint and they assigned me a new instructor. The new instructor had absolutely no idea how to instruct and barely understood English which made it extremely difficult. Then when it didn’t work with that instructor, I was made to feel like it was my fault. I wouldn’t recommend this company unless it’s for a more common language. Be advised that the instructors are not always trained professionals, they’re common people who speak the language. That could be good or bad.

I was delighted with the one to one tuition via Skype: sitting comfortably at home I was able to have a lesson from a Georgian teacher in Tbilisi. Listen & Learn was able to connect me to a native speaker from Rome, and had us connected within a short period of time. The lessons were (by my decision) all face-to-face and concentrated on elements of speaking well (pronunciation), increasing grammatical correctness and expanding vocabulary. The tutor was very qualified and we got along well - sharing stories, even recipes and family history! I'm very appreciative of Listen & Learn for making this happen. Communication with the coordinator was excellent, and billing was clear and accurately done. This kind of tutoring activity is not inexpensive, but I truly believe I got my money's worth. You might find a remote (e.g., skype) format works for you (less expensive), but I very much needed and wanted 1-on-1 help.

Fantastic experience: I'm currently learning Korean, face to face, 1 on 1, & from my house. I still can't believe this is happening, but somehow Listen & Learn made it a reality for me. I'm a very hands on learner so EVERY dollar I spent was worth it for the 60 hour class. I requested a very custom set of requirements (I don't live that close to a major metropolitan city, I wanted face to face & I chose a language that not many speak) & they were able to meet all of them. I know they can easily set you up with professional Skype tutoring as well with ease. I seriously can not recommend them enough.
