Fantastic experience: the school offer a lot of integration with people from many countries my friends were very happy with my teacher and we enjoyed diverse food and music from China, Turkey, Colombia, Guatemala, Mexico, Ukraine and Korea. teacher Melissa and Vasili always make sure you learn something for your life every class

Fantastic experience: this school is one of the best place to learn english here in new york especially if you are a beginner because all the teachers have native english accent and they have a good method of teaching, i would say that i’ve enjoyed my time in zoni from 2022 until 2025 it was a wonderful experience, i went to CUNY last month and took the ESL test and it was very easy for me and i got admitted, from the bottom of my heart i will say thank you to everyone in ZONI the staff the teachers the DSO Saida you are the best, i know you guys are strict but it’s the law haha so if anyone who want to learn English i would recommend you to zoni don hesitate it’s worth it i will miss you guys especially teacher Izet thank you my teacher10/10.

Negative experience: It might be a cheap school, but you get what you pay for. The Wi-Fi doesn't work, the chairs are breaking, and the classes are just based on books with no real teaching. On top of that, they are very dishonest with their refund policies. Don't waste your money here.

Negative experience: Terrible experience. No Wi-Fi, broken chairs, and very boring classes. The administration is dishonest and will look for any excuse to keep your money even if you meet their requirements. Avoid this school!

Negative experience: I cannot recommend this school due to its poor academic quality and administrative issues. The classes are very basic and repetitive, mostly just following a book with very little actual teaching or engagement. The lack of organization is also a major problem; once, we didn't even have a classroom and the teacher took us to Whole Foods just to pass the time.

Negative experience: They cancelled my vacations. Last week, when I requested my earned vacations (after 12 weeks of study), they told me I did not do it within the timeframe they required, so my vacations were cancelled. Now I have to study 14 more weeks to earn 6 weeks off. I have studied my entire life (high school, college, university, etc.), and I have NEVER had to study 6 months in a row with no breaks like Zoni is making me do. It also worth to mention that i tried to request the vactions during the timeframe they wanted the DSO was on vacations, which made me not get an answer at all. They did not offer any options or alternatives to fix the issue. I went to multiple locations, but they did not help me find a solution. As an F-1 student, this affects me a lot because I have no option but to attend these classes mandatorily. One of the justifications I got was that there were interest conflicts — so between burning out the students and being able to charge for one extra month (of course I will have to pay the school for the month I didn’t get to take my break), they chose the latter. In the orientation, they did mention you are required to request the vacations 2 weeks in advance, but never that it is mandatory to do it in the 10th week, or otherwise you will lose them. They have had several cases like mine, but they are not doing anything to fix it.

Negative experience: Their registration and transfer process goes very slow. I’ve been trying to get transferred to their school but WhatsApp service doesn’t work well

Negative experience: Staff is extremely rude and not helpful. It took them almost a month to register a student. Never replied to messages on time or gave complete answers. Total waste of time and money.

Fantastic experience: I studied at Zoni for about a year and a half before transferring to another school to continue my studies in this country. Based on my experience, I would like to share some insights with those who are considering studying here. Zoni has excellent and professional staff who are always willing to assist with processes and applications. The cleaning service is outstanding, and the staff is very kind. The facility where I studied, in Manhattan, is quite good and comfortable. The classrooms are simple but functional. One of the highlights of this institution is the DSOs, especially Saida Ordoñez. Her professionalism is unquestionable, and she is always willing to guide students through their cases. Most importantly, she knows exactly what she’s doing. I highly recommend her to help you with your F1 non-immigrant status. Regarding the classes, in my opinion, they are fairly standard. As a language institution, Zoni follows the required procedures for teaching English as a second language. Remember, there is no such thing as a bad institution—only students with different purposes. Stay focused on your goals, do what you need to do, and don’t get distracted by what others are doing.

Negative experience: 1. It's not a school for advanced students specially if you are on level c1 or above. 2. Star 1 only for the rude & unprofessional behavior of some staff - I wanted to try it for a week before going full time but had to discontinue within a few days for the unprofessionalism and rude behavior of some staff, one of them is the director of the school - some shajer, he doesn't even listen before speaking. That said, not all of them are rude. Some staff are helpful & nice. I hope they would treat people nicely and focus on improving the standard of the classes for the advanced students in the future.

Negative experience: Horrible customer service from the advisor, I literally tried to apply to the school, I sent my documents and they kept asking for more and more documents that didn’t even make sense, I had to do my transfer before the timeline or I would have lost my status, I tried to call her and send her messages, she totally ignored them, honestly don’t loose your time, I went to Midtown Campus they literally spend 30 minutes there and I was already enrolled to the school, here I wasted like one week and they just ignored me multiple times.

Negative experience: It is really so sad to make this review. The heater doesn’t work in our classroom, we all wear our coats and scarfs when we in the classroom. I don’t want to mention about the population of class. It is winter, a lot of people sick, and we sit next to each other, there is no room to put our stuff. I asked our manager and teacher a lot of times, we are cold, we cant learn anything in this cold classroom, everyone is shaking because of cold. And they still don’t care. It is been 3 weeks! Our HEATER DOES NOT WORK. (especially classrooms 205 and 209)The outside is 24’F!!! We pay here for $500 monthly to come here and sit in the cold classroom all day. I hope someone can care about the us one day.

Negative experience: I don’t recommend this school, the staff are very impolite and disrespectful, there are a pretty bad teachers and the classrooms are small for a huge group of students. Also there are a lot Spanish speakers, if you are Hispanic you won’t learn enough in this school, this is a cheap and poor school no waste your money and your time.. you should find a better school. In addition you pay for I20 and you pay for the curse if you visa is refuse they won’t return the money. If I were you I won’t take this risk. In my case I was enrolled here in this school and I paid for 4 weeks.. presencial classes and they change for online classes and the staff it was rude and they didn’t give any explanation about it.. Don’t let this school take advantage of you and your money. You don’t have my information perhaps because I was enrolled in this school during the pandemic, even you couldn’t find my carpet with my papers when I went to your school directly in person and I didn’t sign any paper that can proof I was there. By the way I know my rights, and I’m not damage the image to your school, just I’m being honest and I don’t want other people hasn’t the same troubles that I had with you and also You are so bad that even the teachers sometimes speak Spanish during the classes I experienced it with you when I saw online classes. And I wouldn’t call this a defamation, only I’m expressing my opinion and you can threat how you did before, canceling my status or talking about deportation this is something that is not unusual in this school..
