Mentor Language Institute is a premier language school located in the vibrant heart of Los Angeles, founded in 2002 with campuses in the popular Westwood and Hollywood areas. Our mission is to help students from all over the globe improve their English skills through affordable yet high-quality programs.

Fantastic experience: 初めての語学留学でした。初めてどんな感じで授業をするのか、生徒は何人なのかなどたくさんの不安を抱えていました。実際に授業を受けてみるととても楽しく、先生は明るくて生徒のみんなも優しく接してくれました！また、スタッフさんも優しく接してくれました！生徒の数はクラスによって変わりますが 5〜12人です。授業内容としては、グループワークや単語の穴埋め(1人ずつ順番に回答)、動画を活用した授業などがありました。授業以外にアクティビティがあるので友達と楽しく取り組むことが出来ました。

Negative experience: I’ve studied for a year in this institute, at first everyone was extremely polite to me and that encouraged me to take my journey here because if anyone treated me well I’d take any road with them. Once l paid my study fees everything changed, all the teachers were so rude I can’t even name one of them that had any manners, when I went to complain about them they put me with other teachers who were Latinos, and they were even worse I asked for a refund but they refused and promised to bring another teaching staff, but all of that was nothing but lies. And that was the worst decision I have ever made.

Fantastic experience: When I heard about studying abroad, I was very worried about my English ability and whether I could keep up with the classes. However, the teachers were friendly and there was a space where I could speak freely without fear of making mistakes, so my attitude towards English, which I had previously felt was weak, changed dramatically and I started to feel like I wanted to learn more! I was able to learn things that I couldn't learn in Japanese schools, such as the sense of native speakers and how native speakers pronounce words, and I was able to use English without feeling embarrassed, so my English improved even after one week, but if I stayed for a long period of time, I think I would be able to acquire English skills that are incomparable to what I was before I came to study abroad. I learned the fun of learning and using English, so I want to study English a lot when I return to Japan! It was really fun.

Fantastic experience: スタッフの対応も、感じ良く、先生方はとても熱心で充実した授業でした。クラスの雰囲気もよく、毎日たのしく通う事ができました。宿題やテストもあって、短い滞在でしたが、スキルアップできたと思います。ロケーションもよく、清掃もされていて快適でした。

Fantastic experience: 素晴らしい学校と親切なスタッフで充実した勉強ができました。先生もわかりやすくとても気さくです。イベントも多く、他のクラスのお友達もできました。週一でクラス混ぜたレッスンがあり、自分のクラス以外の人と一緒にうける授業はとても勉強になります。場所柄かハリウッドなのでダンスやエンターテイメントで留学にきている方が多いです。

Fantastic experience: いつもスタッフ、講師の方々がとても親切に対応してくれる温かい学校です。また講師はネイティブで正しい発音などとても勉強になりました。アクティビティや校内イベントにも参加しましたが、どれも楽しく、他の国の友達とも話せる機会がたくさんありました。とりわけ、金曜日のelective classでは普段関われない他のクラスの友達とconversationできてとても楽しかったです。

Fantastic experience: I studied pronunciation, idioms, and grammar of English. Also, I’ve been taught by Mercedes and Lisa for 7weeks, they’re so kind and great teachers. It was just 7 weeks, but it’s become a summer vacation I’ll never forget.
