Fantastic experience: I have been taking German language classes at Goethe-Zentrum Atlanta for two years, and I have been absolutely delighted. The classes are always effective, fun, interesting, and engaging. The camaraderie among the students has been super. The teachers are incredible. I just recently completed the B1.4 class with Stefan Bauer and can't wait to start his B1+ German History and Culture class in a couple weeks.

Fantastic experience: Fünf Sterne! I began practicing German with Goethe this year. I took advantage of their online courses. The teachers are super knowledgeable, patient and always prepared. I have learned a lot, and every class/ homework enables me to read, write, listen and speak. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I really enjoyed every minute of Stefan's B1 class. He made it so interesting and enjoyable and he was very patient with us. Every week I looked forward to our Monday classes, and I even enjoyed the homework!

Fantastic experience: I recently completed my A1.1 German course at the Roswell location and had a wonderful experience. Our teacher, Heike Siegmund, was patient, clear, and always encouraging, which made learning enjoyable. The small class size created a welcoming environment and allowed for plenty of interaction. The course is well structured, and I feel confident continuing on to A1.2. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: The Goethe-Zentrum Atlanta is an absolute gem! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff makes you feel right at home. I especially love the community events — the breakfast Bundesliga watching is just amazing. It’s the perfect mix of German culture, language, and fun, and a great way to connect with others who share the same interests. Highly recommended for anyone interested in German culture in Atlanta!

Fantastic experience: I have been taking classes here for a little over two years and have progressed from A.1 to B.2 I have greatly enjoyed all of my teachers, who have brought a variety of perspectives and life experience. Goethe-Zentrum uses the latest educational technology and many options for in person and online courses. They have a variety of traditional classes, plus off the wall ones (travel, conversation only, book-club) which is great for all kinds of learners. I highly recommend them if you are interested in learning German or participating in German cultural activities!

Fantastic experience: I’ve taken courses from A1.1 through my current level, B2.3, over the past four years at Goethe-Zentrum Atlanta. I’ve had the pleasure of learning from Helena Karasova, Stefan Bauer, Angelika Otte, Barbara Stauch, Barbara Hagerm and Desiree Bessler, and they are all excellent teachers. Classes are well-balanced with reading, listening, writing, and speaking, pushing students to learn while keeping the atmosphere engaging. Having motivated classmates makes the experience even better. Goethe-Zentrum Atlanta leverages technology effectively for online courses, but I especially enjoy the in-person classes. Over the years, I’ve built great friendships with classmates, teachers, and other members of the Goethe community. The cultural events are a fun way to deepen my understanding of German and German-speaking countries, making the learning experience even richer. If you are thinking about learning German, give the Goethe-Zentrum Atlanta a try.

Fantastic experience: I've been taking courses since 2019 starting as an absolute beginner to passing the B2 exam in 2023. The instructors are amazing - Barbara Hager and Stefan Bauer are the best! I recently took a 5-week resume writing course with Desiree Langone and I've learned so much about applying for jobs in Germany. The cultural events are fun and help to enrich your knowledge of the German language and culture - I highly recommend Goethe-Zentrum Atlanta if you are wanting to learn German and be part of a supportive community!

Fantastic experience: Vielen Dank Goethe Zentrum! At the end of the week, I'll be taking the B1 exam. Barbara Stauch has been my instructor for my last three German courses, and the way she has individualized instruction to meet my needs is exemplary. I completed B1.1 and 1.2 with other students and just finished private instruction with her to prep for the B1 exam. Sentence structure continued to be an issue for me. She suggested that I send her 10 sentences a day, if I had time, focusing on my particular weaknesses. I did so and she kept sending me feedback. Frau Stauch went above and beyond to help me. I found the B1 graded rubric that is published to help candidates. I asked her to review it with me point by point. Sehr hilfreich! Ich schaffe es!

Fantastic experience: I've taken 9 consecutive courses at Goethe-Zentrum Atlanta since 2022 with various teachers. It's been a terrific experience and I've greatly appreciated the expertise and dedication of the instructors and staff. Not only does the Goethe-Zentrum Atlanta offer excellence in German language instruction, they also foster a supportive community. I've made great friends through my classes as well! Fantastic experience: Wir können uns über die super Unterstützung gar nicht oft genug bedanken. Wir hatten nur 6 Wochen Zeit um das A1-Zertifikat zu erlangen. Von Anfang an hat man unser Anliegen sehr ernst genommen und mit allen Mitteln versucht uns zu unterstützen. Mit der super Betreuung durch Angelika und Stefan aber vor allem auch durch die super Lehrerin Heike, haben wir es dann tatsächlich auch geschafft. Vielen Dank an das gesamt Goethe-Institut in Atlanta!

Fantastic experience: I took the virtual B2.1 course with Barbara and it was excellent. Barbara has a master's in teaching German as a foreign language, and it shows. She's great a tapping into the potential of the course book to guide our lessons, and she also makes sure that the students speak more than she does--and with correct grammar. She corrects on all the common mistakes that English-speakers make when learning German, like word order, verb inversion, inflection of articles and adjectives. I made a lot of progress in this class, and I feel really privileged to have had the opportunity to take a class with Barbara. I hope to have her through all 6 B2 sections.

Fantastic experience: I enrolled in A2 classes in October for a ten week course with Heike in Roswell location. Heike is very experienced, patient and kind. I really enjoyed my lessons here. I would highly recommend them for anyone aspiring to learn German.

Fantastic experience: Great, personable people dedicated to helping us learn the language. It's a fresh, comfortable facility that is right on top of the Peachtree Center MARTA station.
