Fantastic experience: I’ve had a great experience with this Chinese class! The lessons are very helpful and have been instrumental in helping me learn the language. The teacher is also incredibly accommodating and supportive. Highly recommend to anyone looking to start or continue their Mandarin journey!
Fantastic experience: I am really glad I found out about Chinese classes through NCE! Jin is a great teacher and the class material is tailored to my interests. I have noticed that my Chinese has improved a lot, and I look forward to class every week. The material in class is presented in an engaging way where you really practice your listening and reading comprehension, and then put new phrases to work through dialogue and conversation.
Fantastic experience: After moving back to the Seattle area, I decided to look into local Mandarin lessons, and I'm so happy that I found NewConcept Education! It was reassuring when I was going through reviews and saw one from a former coworker of mine whose opinion I trusted, so I decided to give the lessons here a try. I'm SO glad I did. I'm currently taking classes and plan to keep learning, since I appreciate NewConcept Education's teaching approach more than what I was doing previously through self-learning apps. Working with a teacher is much better for my personal learning style, and it allows me to ask questions as they come up and get them answered in real time with super helpful context and examples. My sessions have been with Vicky, and she's great at making lessons exciting and fun. I look forward to each class! Would definitely recommend NCE to anyone who wants to learn Mandarin. :)
Thank you so much for your thoughtful review and for choosing NewConcept Education for your Mandarin lessons in the Seattle area, Elan! It truly means a lot that you trusted the recommendation from your former coworker and decided to give our program a try. It has been a joy working with you in class! I’m glad you find the sessions engaging and fun — helping students build confidence in speaking and understanding Mandarin is always our goal.
Fantastic experience: Cannot recommend Vicky highly enough. I never thought learning Chinese characters could be possible but she uses many examples to make it feel accessible and fun. She uses so many tools (visual, auditory, games, motions) to help us understand the material and pays attention to any material which could use a second go-over so that we can focus on the grammar or vocab. I look forward to her class each week!
