Negative experience: my wife and I took our test here a year ago. my wife’s results were mailed, but mine were never sent. we had to contact the head office, and were informed that our only option was for another copy to be sent directly to this office. unfortunately, the covid pandemic forced a temporary closure and my results are stuck in limbo here. no one can get back to us about when they’re opening or give us clear answers or a solution to getting my results. the whole process has been very unprofessional and stressful. give people a means to contact a representative from your organization.

Positive experience: Is there any plan of re opening the center for IELTS testing? I REALLY need to take an IELTS in a couple of months! Does anyone have the answer for this?

Positive experience: Will you please give us our results and I will rate you five stars, we are trying to leave the country and we cannot without these.

Negative experience: We took our IELTS in January of 2020, it cost $500. My husband STILL HAS NOT RECEIVED HIS RESULTS and we are trying to move out of the country. This place does not answer phone calls, does not respond to emails, I fear we have lost our money and time. BEWARE!

Negative experience: I had really bad experience during my IELTS exam at seattle test center. I had exam on 15th Feb. Me and my cousin reached the test center around 7:50 AM and there was a big line outside the entrance gate. We had to wait outside in cold for almost 40 min. and there were 50-60 other students standing in the line. There was only 1 person who was checking all the documents and that's why everyone had to wait outside the building. For listening part - There was huge room where we all 35-40 students sitting for our listening exam. They placed the speaker at the front and you couldn't hear properly even when requested to raise the volume. It was difficult to concentrate specially when you sitting at the back and there was a continuous sound coming from air condition. I already submitted complain after my exam but I don't think there will be any action. I would never recommend anyone to choose this center for IELTS exam.

Fantastic experience: I took the TOEFL exam here and it was a great experience. Staff was very friendly, professional and organized. They provide reasonable headphones that you can keep all through the exam (which I recommend). You can go to the bathroom on your 10 min break after the listening section, and they also have a “break room” with drinks and snack machines. Be aware that you can’t bring anything with you to the exam room, only your identification (passport, etc). They also provide a closet room for you to store your belongings during the exam. The only thing I have to point out is that they were supposed to open doors at 7.30am and only opened at 8am, so we had to wait 30min. To sum up, it’s a very nice place and I was able to get the score I wanted. :) Good luck to all test takers and thank you ELS Seattle!

Positive experience: Need clear directions

Positive experience: The actual test-taking experience was fine. The invigilators were polite and competent, and the facility was maintained well enough. What totally ruined my experience was the manner of one of the facilitators there. I do not want to name her, but she seemed to be the person in-charge. I'd brought a water bottle that was clear but colored grey, and apparently this was not in compliance with what was allowed. I understand it was a strict regulation, but the way she told me off for asking if it was allowed inside was incredibly rude. She basically yelled at me in front of the other test-takers for not following instructions in the emails, and it was humiliating and unnecessary. A simple, "I'm sorry, it doesn't comply with the regulations" would've sufficed and I would've accepted that. Remember that you are not dealing with children, the people who come to take tests with you are grown individuals who don't deserve to be talked down to, and have paid good money for a service.

Positive experience: Wish have more space for students to wait inside the building, instead standing in rain and cold weather.

Fantastic experience: I had to reschedule my exam due to an unforeseen work emergency and I must say that I am glad I got in touch with the right person. Adiba from the ELS Center in Seattle was extemely understanding in helping me out get out of this issue by getting an approval to reschedule my test so that I dont have to got though the hassle of canceling and registering for the test again. She provided valuable inputs about the documentation that she needs to get this approval done and also very forthright about the chances of it being done, even though eventually she did get it done for me. Kudos to her and the staff at ELS Seattle that always strive to help out candidates who are in need of some sort of help!

Fantastic experience: I studied at ELS Seattle in 2012/2013 and It was the best experience of my life, I made really good friends, I learned a lot and I really enjoyed the city. It is an amazing place with amazing teachers and people to study and improve a new language.

Fantastic experience: Studying abroad was an amazing opportunity for me to see the world and grow as a person. I have had a great experience learning English at ELS Seattle the staff and teachers there were very friendly and helpful.They all helped me a lot to speak English better. I really enjoyed the program, If you are looking to improve your English for higher education, I think that ELS Seattle is the place to go.

Fantastic experience: Pretty cool school. The instructors are very knowledgeable and helpful and go out of their way to make sure you learn English and speak it properly. Great atmosphere, stress free and conductive to learning. I enjoyed it a lot and made good friends.

I learnt a lot of grammar, speaking and writing and met other people from different nationalities. It was very exciting to talk about special issues in other countries. Everybody was very friendly the staff and teacher are the best big shout to Rikki the coolest and the greatest human alive, highly recommended .

Fantastic experience: I am really happy that I got to study at ELS. On the first day that I went to class, I felt nervous because I needed to speak english and my english was not very fluent. However, after two weeks I can speak more fluently and because Robert chose me to speak in front of class, I now feel more confident about speaking to American people. Besides that, I am profoundly grateful because Lia and Marjorie taught me about grammar and I am happy because my grammar has improved. Last but not the least is Alex, who enabled me to learn about many languages and cultures from my classmates because he encouraged us to share our cultures from our home countries. Thankyou ❤️

Negative experience: I took few area for the test. They took long time first test. I dont have enough break time for speaking. Usually other places finish around 12 :10. But this center finished 12:40. When I took speaking test 1pm.. I got so pressure. And also I cant use bath room before speaking test.

Negative experience: Bad school

Negative experience: Terrible place for the IELTS test. Untidy rooms, bathroom without hand towels and long hours of standing in the dirty streets where you can see dog poop almost everywhere. They don't allow bathroom breaks to candidates during the time they are waiting for the speaking test. They don't allow anyone before the assigned time, so they could at least provide sitting. Don't try to find any trash bin because there aren't any, you have to request the people at the testing center to allow you to throw the crisp pack you just ate or are we supposed to chew them up as well?? Would never come back.

Fantastic experience: ELS Seattle is a wonderful place to learn English! The staff is so friendly and helpful and all of the teachers are experienced and very kind. I recommend ELS!

Fantastic experience: I went here to give the ielts test. They maintain timeliness and open on time and conduct their practice as per schedule. Every IELTS employee and instructors was courteous and professional regarding their conduct. It was a pleasant experience taking the test here. PS . Parking spots are hard to find outside the center. Taking the bus or a rideshare is a much better option.

Negative experience: Worst service ever!!! I had to cancel the test and called them so many times. Never got any call back from them. I sent many emails and they said it will be take care for the refund process. I got to send another email to check when would they issue me a refund. They said it wasn't approved for refund after all this time before two weeks of the the test. It's impossible to cancle the test. They will give you thousand reasons to keep the money once they get it. Beware before you book your test or you won't get to cancle the test what so ever. They are nothing but money collector. I would donate the money if they asked.

Negative experience: So I woke up at 5 am today, took the bus for almost two hours to this place. I went into the building at 6:50 am, there were seats outside so i assumed we could WAIT since we paid so much to be tested. Suddenly this big sized blue hair like pony tail girl came in and asked me to leave RUDELY. She wasn't even like "Can you please wait outside" , she literally opened the door and said it's NOT 7:45am yet we can't have anyone in the building. Keep in mind it's freezing outside. Wish I can take A PICTURE AND SHOW YOU HOW MANY CANDIDATES ARE waiting outside. People be testing my patience

Negative experience: Weak learning . Thay have lack of education

Fantastic experience: I gave my IELTS General Training Exam here. Staffs are very good and caring. And they are in the core Seattle and refreshment around the area is very good. Only Concern is that you will not get a parking space and even though if you get, it will be only for for2 hours Max. You need go to the public parking lot which is way higher than the regular parking cost

Negative experience: Very bad School especially if you want to take IELTS exam. They want to be very strict with the Candidates, and they want the Candidates be flexible when they have problem or some lateness really bad. The Portland better.
