Fantastic experience: I began taking Spanish classes in October 2023. While I am not fluent :), the coursework has been very fun to learn! The atmosphere is one of learning and assisting each student at their specific level. The classes do not feel rushed and there are many tools available to improve one’s ability. I highly recommend Casa de Espanol!

Fantastic experience: I have been learning Spanish at Casa de Español since the fall of 2018–a retirement gift to myself—and have enjoyed every class! The instructors are there to help students of all levels advance (and never to judge them). There are no tests, grades or mandatory homework, no stress, though every course offers multiple additional learning resources, including live weekly tutorials with native speakers that give students a chance to practice as well as social events. Since the pandemic, courses have been offered in person and via ZOOM, which makes participating so easy. Maria Harrington, school owner and instructor, has made Casa de Español more than a Spanish school for children, teens and adults; it is a community of people interested in the culture of Spanish-speaking countries as well as the local Latin American community. A rich experience I would recommend to anyone interested in trying a new language!!

Fantastic experience: It’s important to us that our son learn Spanish so he can communicate with his grandparents. My husband and I weren’t doing a good job teaching him. We are happy that Casa de Español exists to help him learn. He’s enrolled in his third class and it’s been great. The teacher incorporates art and music into each session all while teaching Spanish. My son looks forward to class each week and we’re happy with his progress.

Fantastic experience: Our 6 yr old daughter recently went to a summer camp here - the place is beautiful! The teachers were very energetic, kind, focused on the children, and did a great job incorporating spanish in a fun way. My daughter loved the camp and asked if she could do it again next summer!

Fantastic experience: I have attended adult Spanish classes at Casa de Espanol beginning in January 2018 and continued for the past year. The adult Spanish instructor teaching my classes, Alex Gomez, is an excellent teacher dedicated to his students' learning. His enthusiasm and relaxed mannerism in conducting his classes allows for a unique adult experience in a relaxed environment with other professionals that is directed toward the actual use of the language to fulfill your individual goals. Multiple teaching strategies are employed for writing, reading, and speaking Spanish which makes the 1 hour and 40 minute class fly by. I have also enjoyed the cultural environment at Casa. Casa is active in the community and participates in several fund-raisers for various events/organizations. They offer cooking classes, dance classes, art sessions, and other types of short sessions to introduce various aspects of the Spanish speaking culture. Maria and Johnny are warm, inviting, and welcoming to all individuals and you will feel right at home the minute you walk through the door. I have truly enjoyed my time at Casa and would highly recommend them for language classes or a genuine cultural experience.
