Positive experience: Very low principal Heidi Garden! My child also goes to this school and let me tell you, do your research.. This principle has a lot of complaints on her. Just glad my daughter will no longer be coming to this school!

Fantastic experience: We moved from Tennessee to California for the 24/25 school year and were motivated to find a Spanish Dual Immersion Program. We have a kindergarten and second grader and we are very pleased with the program. Our kids are learning a lot, they come home enjoying school and have nothing but good things to say. The PTA seems to be very involved and responsive. The principal, Heidi Garner is very engaged and welcoming to the kids. I am impressed with the welcoming spirit of the school and its sense of community. We are very happy with the Dual Immersion Program and would recommend it to others. Go Tigers!

Fantastic experience: Principal Garner does an INCREDIBLE job of running this beautifully unique school with such diverse needs! Its a TK-8th with a Dual Immersion school and different needs in language (there are 12 different home languages represented in the school), differences in income, cultures, age etc. And Principal Garner does an incredible job of meeting those needs and creating unity! Love Thomas Edison!

Positive experience: The school is filled with kind and welcoming teachers and staff super understanding but the flaw is they don't let our kids use their phones in the school which I get the rules about phones but some kids need a connection between the parents after school!

Negative experience: This one staff is always on her phone she also doesn’t listens to my kid and is only nice to certain kids, she should get fired

Ana Garcia Published on Google 10 months ago

Negative experience: The principle is incompetent she doesn’t listen to parents concerns doesn’t seem to care about the children or parents needs she needs to be fired .

Negative experience: Terrible principle! Today I witnessed the principal Heidi Garner be super rude to a mom who was there with her son and wouldn't allow them to come into the school. A teacher at the school had told them it was ok to come the boy's graduation but he wouldn't be able to walk and this lady stopped them at the door, was rude, disrespectful, and made fun of the mom by saying she couldn't understand her English. The poor boy was crying I'm embarrassed and even though the Principal was told by another teacher that what she was saying was true, the principal said she had the final word. Very low principal Heidi Garden! My child also goes to this school and let me tell you, do your research.. This principle has a lot of complaints on her. Just glad my daughter will no longer be coming to this school!

Negative experience: This school is a joke!!!! Not only did my son get bullied by students but from staff also!! His teacher has a problem with him any little thing he would do he'd get sent to the office just because he didn't understand the "Spanish" language when I enrolled him I was totally misinformed and thought the DI program was like his old school. But I get it teaching varies within different districts. Every single day I was getting a phone call from the vice principal complaining every day about my kid not doing this or doing that and not paying attention I KNOW SO they wanted him out of the school I got tired of them calling me everyday so I switched his school and he's doing way better at the new school no complaints NOTHING. This school likes getting involved in kids parents life's too nosey and like to pick on the kids. Send your kids to another school please.

Negative experience: Some good teachers but dropping off and picking up your child is atrocious. Takes 30 minutes to drop off and pick up. Also the old lady's that Wait by Bus drop off zone in the morning are extremely rude

sayed Hashemi Published on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: It is horrible they are very rude and is hard on the kids like they don't let them go to the toilet my children comes home every day saying my blader hurts and when I ask why he says I held my toilet for 1h and 30m

Negative experience: The traffic control at this campus borders on laughable and outright dangerous. Terrifying combo. No one has been properly trained and there's more concern over having power over others than it's about safety. What should be a one-minute drop-off, takes 20 minutes because the configuration is horrible. Someone is going to get seriously injured. This can all be changed and remedied by the staff in power, but they refuse in a grand display of both arrogance and ignorance. Unacceptable.

Negative experience: the principal has a problem with power and authority, very insensitive. she hardly listens to parents concerns or finds a solutions, my sons complain to me that she didn’t address the problem as an important concern, yet he my son. heard her (the principle)telling his teacher “ he needs to elevate his leg or mom would get mad” he mention to me that he felt like she was making fun of his mom. and suggested me not to complain again bc “she/they don’t care anyways”. i was devastated hearing speaking that way.when in reality it wasn’t a concern only, it was a doctor order to follow at home and at school . my son had a fracture knee & was in crutches. and she failed to address the problem in a respectful manner. and i find bout by my son calling me bein a pain, the school nurse or office failed to communicate with me. now my son doesn’t want to speak up, he feels that she doesn’t care. they way she addressed problems isn’t the proper way to treat students, i personally feel she has needs more training in her field. is been multiple times, she’s treated me or my son rude and i’m considering finally escalating these to the district. no child or parent should feel the way she made us feel.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful campus and opportunities for bi-lingualism.

Negative experience: As a former student of this school, I can say that there are MUCH better schools to send your children to. They have a HORRIBLE problem with fights and bullying. I, fortunately, never got into a fight but I witnessed about 2 or 3 fights a year. I was bullied by several different people and the staff did nothing about it. My brother did middle school there and he was treated like an elementary schooler. Otherwise, the dual immersion is great and there are, or at least used to be, some pretty nice staff.

Positive experience: New school for my grandkids, I understand it's a language school but all the signs in the office are Spanish I think the same poster in English should be beside each other. IJS

Negative experience: I've been there I've been here for five years and the food there is horrible horrible

Mel Alvarez Published on Google 6 years ago

Fantastic experience: The staff has always been positive with every encounter I've experienced. The only problem I have is the parents who simply cannot follow simple instructions while driving up to the school. It really isn't that hard to know that the lines will be the same every day and won't change meaning the left line is if you're planning on parking to let your kid out and the right is to drive up and drop off. Time and time again parents constantly hold up the lines by trying to "cut" the line and get on the other line without properly waiting their turn. Get it together parents! Mrs. Clarissa shouldn't have to constantly police the parking lot which she does a great job at! Love this school!

Negative experience: This the best school for kids.

Abren Delvis Published on Google 7 years ago

Negative experience: This school is complete garbage. The staff cares very little about the students and more about when they get to leave. There are a few teachers that do care about students but they are hugely out weighed buy the ones that don't. Not to mention this school has a very big problem with lice. They don't notify parents and continue to let kids spread lice by coming to school. This school needs to be shut down.

Janely Flores Published on Google 8 years ago

Negative experience: If you want your student to be bullied then you are in the right school, my student has been bullied and the principal doesnt do anything to stop it and when you call and ask to speak with her she is always busy and never returns your call, there are always fights, the students are NOT safe in this school, the teacher don't have control over the students, I will call the district and the media to get some help and put a stop to this before is too late for our childrens
