Fantastic experience: I have been a student of A+ Languages for around 3 months. I am currently taking Spanish lessons through video-chat with Alicia. In our 1 hour lessons, I feel like I have learned and progressed very quickly through Alicia's combination of personalized lesson plans and textbook work. She is extremely thorough, knowledgeable and has an infectiously fun approach to her teaching. She has also been very flexible and understanding with my dynamic work schedule. Really, I cannot express how much respect and admiration I have for Alicia as my teacher and I would recommend her 1000x if your interested in learning Spanish. Not only is she an intelligent and perceptive teacher, but truly a great person as well. ¡Muchas gracias por todo Alicia!

However what I found is so much better. The class is private and online and Alicia goes with my rhythm of studying and learning. I feel I am learning quicker than I hoped. Fantastic experience: I've been struggling to learn Spanish by myself for a number of years now. I decided I need more of a structured learning approach and I found Alicia! Having class with her once a week has really kickstarted my Spanish speaking abilities. She does a great mix of book learning to give you the tools you need and having real conversations in Spanish. She makes you feel very comfortable speaking with her in a new language and makes you want to give it your best shot even if you don't know all the words. She is very patient and takes the time to explain why some things are different in Spanish vs English and talks about Hispanic customs as well. She is very easy to work with online and very communicative if one of us needs to reschedule. I've been talking a lot more now with my partner's family in Spanish and they really appreciate my attempt to learn! Thank you to Alicia and I highly recommend her!

Fantastic experience: I have been studying Spanish with Alicia for about 2 years. I came in with no formal Spanish language training or education. In our time together, i have gone from knowing a few basic phrases and vocabulary words, to speaking Spanish fluidly and with confidence. If you are serious about learning a new language, i believe there is no substitute for immersive, classroom-style education, and Alicia provides just that. What's more, Alicia is able to draw from history, art, music, food and current events to provide content and context for our lessons. Plus, we always have exciting and interesting conversations that test and push me to improve my Spanish skills. I always look forward to our classes together. I can't recommend A+ Languages and Alicia highly enough!

Fantastic experience: I've been using A+ languages for a little over one month and I can say Alicia is an amazing instructor! She is very patient and makes learning Spanish very enjoyable. I took Spanish in highschool and her one-on-one teaching has been more helpful to me in one month versus 2 years of Spanish in school. What's really helpful is that she doesn't just give you the vocabulary but makes sure to go over pronunciation (and writes out the phonetic spelling which helps A LOT). She also contextualizes everything with information about Hispanic culture and little nuances you wouldn't catch from a textbook. Overall, I am so glad I started practicing and have been using what I learned almost everyday at work. You won't find a quality instructor at her price anywhere.

Fantastic experience: Profesora Willis has been so incredible to work with these last few months! I have learned so much in the Spanish language with her attention to detail, whether it's in sentence structure or conversation. She is such a pleasure to work with, as she brings such a positive energy to every class. I have gained so much more confidence speaking in Spanish after beginning classes with her, and I couldn't recommend a better teacher!

Fantastic experience: I have been taking Spanish classes with Senora Alicia for two months now and she is the best. I was very nervous at the beginning because I did not know any Spanish, but in only two months I am able to hold a conversation with her by only speaking Spanish. She makes everything easy and makes the learning process fun. Her schedule is very flexible and she is available for anything. Choosing her as your professor will be one of the best choices of your life, would not recommend anyone but her.

She is helping me with Medical Spanish as well and my coworkers have noticed a big improvement in my Spanish speaking and comprehension with our Spanish patients. Fantastic experience: This review comes after working with Alicia for almost a year. In the past I have tried other learning methods both software and app based, but nothing is better then learning the way we have since kindergarten by way of personal instruction. Personal instruction is also more interactive. She can correct me and we are able to have real conversations in Spanish. Alicia is comprehensive. She uses different learning tools and methods in her approach. She loves the language and clearly has a passion for teaching it. It is her desire that one learns the language well, correctly, and so it is very practical. She has a talent for teaching coupled with her extensive experience. She has a flexible schedule and will always do her best to accommodate me where possible. Im an Airline Captain who travels frequently to different countries in Central and South America. Every time I go, the people I see on a regular basis always comment on how good my Spanish is and each time tell me I'm getting better. I plan to continue and highly recommend Alicia.

Fantastic experience: I worked with Ms Alicia to tutor my 12 yr old on speaking Spanish. This was the best summer investment I've had. The prices were good and payment options were flexible. Fantastic experience: If you want to learn Spanish, I highly, highly recommend Alicia Willis. I have been learning Spanish with her one-on-one for not even six months, and I already can speak, read, and write on my own out there in the real world. I'm impressed with this progress considering I had no Spanish background when I started. Senora Willis is organized, positive, and has great teaching techniques that involve application and not just memorisation. I look forward to my classes every week, and I can't wait to finish all the chapters in my textbook.

She incorporates different medium in her teaching - youtube videos, songs, textbook, practice book etc. Look no further if you're in the hunt for the best teacher in Spanish! By the way, she holds an MA in Spanish too.
