Negative experience: Worst school ever! I had to transfer my kid because he was so depressed at this school. DO NOT SEND YOUR KID HERE!

Positive experience: A decent Middle School

Negative experience: Don't send your kid with special needs to this place. It's a nightmare on 84th Street. My son says, it's the worst years of his life. He was emotionally and mentally damage after. I learned my lesson the hard way. WASTE of Tax Money.

Negative experience: As I speak we have no teacher in the class I would not recommend your student comes to Msl it is a bad environment for your child

Negative experience: i go here rn & the school is very mid. they don’t really care about what your doing as long as you aren’t in drama or you’re smoking, some teachers will let you walk out & do absolutely nothing. the principal doesn’t care. there was a firearm found on campus yesterday, April 3rd, 2025. no lockdown was called , no meeting was had. nothing. the kid had the firearm from 8 am to about 12:30 pm. no one knew about this until a kid called the police and showed up to the school. and today, April 4th, 2025. kids walked out of the school, classes, they protested due to unsatisfactory with the incident. only a whole school assembly was had. do NOT send yours kids here. and if you don’t believe me, look up “ Milwaukee School Of Languages Gun incident “

Negative experience: This school is terrible, gone down the drain! Bullying is a serious issue here, but no one does anything. Countless times I’ve alerted the staff, all they do is solemnly stare or nothing! So many people here should’ve been expelled: suspended at most for their behavior. Also, the food isn’t very edible most of the time. I’m tired of this place, don’t send your children here for the sake of their mental well being.

Negative experience: Have gotten out of control over the past years the security guard took my disabled daughters wheel chair and said it wasn’t hers what a shame! The school lunch is worst my daughters never muffin was spotted with mold wow and private and personal information is not kept confidential by the secretaries in the front office my kids will be leaving this school!

Fantastic experience: Good school has baseball and soccer there are some fights but that's only because it's in Milwaukee

Negative experience: At least put an AC in the gym, I know Wisconsin has long winters but MSL is another level of hell in the summer especially the last few months.

Positive experience: I love going there for school. I make a lot of friends from other schools, and I get good grades. Only problems are passing period traffic (which all schools have) and the fights that happen every now and again. As long as you don't get involved, you're good to go!

Negative experience: There is no air conditioning what so ever so in every classroom other than the office it’s hot AF

Negative experience: Went here for Middle School and High School and found the environment to be uninspiring and childish. The assistant principal at the time had the nerve to tell me in front of other students “if I graduate” after I had already been accepted to Marquette (just one example of the kind of “adults” that run this place). The biggest favor they did my family and I was being rude to my mother when she tried to enroll my little brother. She was so fed up with the poor environment she enrolled him in private school and never looked back. I get to compare my younger brothers education to the one I received and it’s night and day. He’s been treated with more respect and has been given an astounding number of opportunities that I could have only dreamed of. Do yourself a favor immersion kids and aim higher. You can always continue your language at another school or in college. The poor education and environment is simply not worth it

Positive experience: School is ok, the teachers are ok, facilities are limited, community is ok, things are ok, if you are an 8th grader who got into biology but not algebra you basically flunk back down to science meant for your grade. It's good for a middle school but bad as a high school.

Fantastic experience: I been there since 6th grade and I graduated from msl and I love all the teacher but my favorite teacher are Ms Mercer,Mr Weber,Mr Gleesing and last not forget Mr McAdams they are the coolest teacher ever if u don't understand they are right there to help you out Love jessica Nicole Lewis June 9 2015

Positive experience: I love this school middle school was pretty sucky but highschool is way better we get more privaleges and if you have the right friends just having them around makes the school day fun I hate that I'm leaving next year I will miss a lot mostly my friends though!

Fantastic experience: Best School EVER! I ADORE going to this school, especially since I have another 5 years! It's amazing, but only for the people who want to learn and become something. This school teaches you everything you need to know from basics to facts and important things we need to survive. It's amazing how they do that while teaching us more about our language! Some people don't like the school, but I don't get why? If u fail to plan you plan to fail and this school does NOT set you for failing. For all the bilingual, trilingual, lingual, and all of the above that don't go to this school, GO! It's perfect for students who would like to get somewhere in life, not saying there aren't other schools, just saying there aren't other schools quite like THIS one. :-)
