Fantastic experience: At 71 I decided I needed to learn Spanish if I ever wanted to do truly meaningful pro bono work in a community I believe to be underserved by the legal community as a whole, especially pro bono. I researched schools and decided on Spanish Perfecto. My experience has been beyond excellent. I started out in group lessons with a gifted teacher, who deserves a huge gold star for her patience and superb teaching skills which were wasted on me. When Janini had to take some time to complete her masters in Spain, I switched to private lessons, which proved to be a good move for me as I was less hesitant one on one. And the next teachers assigned to me have also been just fantastic! Lilian, from Cuba, was delightful and got me over my initial fear of all verbos. Lilian had a family matter which required her presence so the school assigned to me or me to her, Viviana, who has been so wonderful despite my pitiful accent and almost pathological inability to learn and remember numbers. I should note that the written and digital materials are excellent as well as are all handouts. Georgina and Lucia are terrific in running the school and are also gifted and encouraging teachers as well. They organize special little extra activities, like a demonstration from a Peruvian chef. This operation is amazing. I absolutely give this school my highest recommendation. 7.2025 I am still taking lessons from Spanish Perfecto here in Houston, and if anything the courses, instructors, "everything" have gotten even better. My current teacher, Vivi, is amazing. My accent is awful. I struggle with verbs and my grasp of numbers is at about a 3 year old's level of accomplishment. Yet, she remains ever kind, intelligent and patient. Because of her I am actually learning. These instructors are all highly educated professionals, who do more than just "teach" Spanish. They incorporate culture and the beautiful diversity of Spanish speaking people and their countries in their programs. There is a theatre group, formed by the Director of the school and the theatre, Georgina P., which is very good. Yes, I have learned a great deal of the language but even more importantly I better understand, from a practical standpoint, the basis of and concepts behind the language. If you wish to not only learn Spanish but embrace the joy in this language and the people behind it, SpanishPerfecto should be where you look no further. The school is very conveniently located right off of the loop and the Katy Freeway, with excellent parking and easy access. I am just a student, who, at now 72, is thoroughly enjoying these lessons from hundreds of different perspectives.

Fantastic experience: Spanish Perfecto is a wonderful place to learn Spanish. The instructors are highly credentialled and genuinely excited to share their native language. Each class is an immersive experience where language is paired with Spanish culture, history and day-to-day life. Additionally Spanish Perfecto hosts free monthly Spanish language based activities where you can socialize with students from other classes. Spanish Perfecto offers the key ingredients for learning a new language: in-person interaction, ongoing progress evaluations, and lots of fun. I highly recommend their programs.

Fantastic experience: Spanish perfecto takes the time to not only teach you Spanish, but also coordinate food classes, dancing, parties, etc to further your learning. It feels like a community. I have really enjoyed my time there and the teachers are wonderful.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I have been doing semi-private classes with Georgina at Spanish Perfecto for several months - I cannot recommend it enough!! We are fairly advanced Spanish speakers, but wanted to improve. Working with Georgina is like sitting down with an old friend every week and just catching up. She is such a fantastic teacher! The class style is an amazing mix of didactic lessons with practical application. If you want to be a Spanish speaker, this is the school for you.

I started off wanting to learn Spanish to be able to speak fluently with my extended family but it has turned into so much more. They have a wonderful staff full of amazing teachers and each one makes learning Spanish or a new language a great experience. The curriculum Spanish Perfecto offers is very helpful and well planned out and the monthly events offered for free to any one interested are an amazing bonus! The smaller more intimate class room setting is very helpful and encouraging for myself and my fellow classmates to feel comfortable asking questions and trying something new and out of our comfort zone. As someone who hasn’t been a student in 20 years it was a great way to get back into learning! Fantastic experience: Presente Perfecto makes learning Spanish fun!! I use Spanish daily at work. The curriculum is most relevant to how Spanish is used in real life. I have taken classes with Gina and Mary Carmen. Gina takes the time to explain concepts and answer questions. She gently points out mistakes you make in conversation so you can improve. Mary Carmen teaches Theater and Spanish. You'll improve your Spanish without thinking about grammar and pronunciation because the class is so engaging. There are other classes, like Cooking and Spanish, where you can learn without overthinking. You will also be able to meet other students at Presente Perfecto. There are monthly events, like a chocolate tasting or salsa lessons. If you take classes at Presente Perecto, you'll improve your Spanish, make new friends and have fun!

Fantastic experience: I started taking Spanish classes with Lucia in January and feel like we have progressed so quickly for beginners! Lucia's style of teaching is immersive and enjoyable. She really explains the hard conjugations and irregular verbs so that I can understand it. I looked for a Spanish class when I first moved to Houston and so glad I finally found Spanish Perfecto! I plan on continuing my group lessons!

Fantastic experience: I have been studying with Spanish Perfecto since early 2021 and can only say how much I enjoy each and every class. Georgina Palencia and Lucia Rodriguez are charming and engaging. I mostly learn from Georgina and find that she strikes the perfect balance between structured learning and fun, unstructured conversation. Both elements are important to developing a deep, instinctive understanding of Spanish. In addition, they organise extra-curricular activities on diverse subjects, such as poetry, chocolate, film and theater. These are usually well-attended and lots of fun. They are great ways of further developing one's Spanish in different contexts and with multiple voices. I consider my hours at Spanish Perfecto my most rewarding of the week, and Georgina and Lucia have become good friends.

Fantastic experience: I am currently taking private classes and am in level B1. The teachers here (especially Georgina ) are very attentive and adjust their teaching styles to create a tailored learning experience. I have been taking classes here for about 5 months now, and have greatly improved my skills (listening, reading, speaking). The encouragement and care I receive from this school has built up my confidence and I can now confidently use my Spanish in real world situations. The teachers here are dedicated and will use all their resources to ensure that you make big strides and progress through your learning journey.

Fantastic experience: This has been a great experience. There is so much to learn that it can be overwhelming but Georgina works with us all together and individually and gets us through the lessons. She has a very clear understanding of how to use this program to it’s fullest. She has patience and a sense of humor - which is imperative. It will take a good amount of time to become fairly fluent but I will keep at it!

Fantastic experience: My experience studying Spanish with Spanish Perfecto has been very fulfilling. I began studying with Georgina to prepare for a work trip to South America. I had not taken a single Spanish class in my life. I took lessons 2x per week for 6 weeks before traveling around Colombia. I was able to communicate with business associates, hotel staff, and Uber drivers. I have since continued to study one-on-one with Georgina. She is incredibly gifted as a Spanish teacher with a strong academic background in linguistics and language education. I really value the structured program and the flexibility to schedule lessons around my work calendar.

The teachers are absolutely fantastic and the small group classes allow them to provide focused teaching. Fantastic experience: italki? Babbel? Some other app? No. Language school with experienced, qualified instructors. They have degrees. They follow a plan. They are personable and motivating. I felt my thinking change to be more reflective and my talking to be more conversational. I used to stutter in English, speech therapy helped, fixed it. The spanish language instructors here, I feel, have a similar, gift giving touch in their coaching. The value is there and I recommend them to my friends.

Fantastic experience: I knew I had learned a TON in the six months I studied with Lucia but I didn’t know quite how much I had learned until I recently traveled in Peru. I surprised myself with just how well I was able to converse and navigate around the country. Lucia was wonderful to work with and always came to our classes prepared. Fantastic experience: I have tried for years to learn Spanish: Rosetta Stone, Duolingo, Babble, etc. I have tried classes and nothing has really stuck until I found PRESENTE PERFECTO! Lucia and Georgina are exceptional in the way they teach Spanish. A lot of the times when I am learning Spanish it can be overwhelming and I feel awkward speaking it. Lucia and Georgina have a way of making you feel confident in speaking a second language and I am very thankful for that. During Covid, we’ve had to adjust to receiving his classes via Zoom and even then she has made it interactive and fun to learn. He loves all the videos and games they play. Fantastic experience: Learning language requires dedication and love from both the student and the teacher. When my children decided to continue learning Spanish beyond their elementary and middle school years, it was time to find a tutor, not only to take their Spanish speaking and writing skills to another level but also to give them the opportunity to participate in National Spanish Exam, the prestigious Farrington Spanish exam & College Board's AP Spanish exams. Over 4 years, with regular tutoring from Lucia, that continued during long summer breaks, my children not only gained immense confidence in Spanish language but also enjoyed speaking it - something that is rare by only following a school curriculum. Lucia soaked them with the culture and quirks of the language spoken in many countries around the world. To his immense delight, my son enjoys watching motor sports in Spanish, a refreshing change to English commentary and my daughter enjoys watching everything You Tube offers in Spanish. Sure, we experienced times of doubt along with achievements. However, in our case the mutual dedication and love of the language has produced great results! I will always be indebted to Lucia for giving my children a love for another language.
