Fantastic experience: My one-on-one Brazilian Portuguese classes have been outstanding. The teacher is a native Brazilian speaker who has also lived in the United States for many years, so she has all the language and cultural knowledge while we can also review comparative concepts in English. I appreciate the great customization of the classes and feel that the pace and content of the course is made for me. This is not a standard follow the chapter book at all. For example, we had lessons on specific topics that interest me like the law and classic literature. I am writing this review at about 20 lessons into the course and greatly value what we are doing.

Fantastic experience: I needed a last-minute translator to be able to provide a better training experience for my trainee and during my first call with Inlingua they were able to provide me with someone fast and hassle free. The customer service over the phone was phenomenal. They clearly know what they are doing and they are a great pleasure to work with.

Negative experience: Hire this guys last year for something really important , I asked for a prepared certified translator and they assured me that they had the best . Terrible experience.. they send somebody with poor English translation . I know Spanish-English and knew that this person was unprepared and not even close to what I needed , they also called a phone- translator to help the translator that this company send me ! So if you have something really important , DONT TRUST THIS GUYS . On top of that , after I tell them what happens and they assume the fault , they charged me all the amount due . I’m not normally a bad review person but this was a really bad service .

Fantastic experience: I have had a wonderful experience taking private language classes with Inlingua Utah for the last 15 months. I decided to pursue professional private language instruction after finally committing to learn Spanish following years of half-hearted efforts dating back to high school. My instructor, Ludmilla, has been exceptional. She is incredibly intelligent, engaging, and thoughtful in her approach to teaching, with an excellent ability to tailor lessons around my interests, which has made learning feel natural, relevant, and interesting. Inlingua provides a strong overall structure that complements the personalized instruction perfectly. Fantastic experience: As a high school student my favorite class was Spanish; as adult life goes, one gets busy & learning can take a back seat. On a whim, I enrolled at Inilingua. The format I selected was remote instruction. Classes are incredibly flexible & seem compatible with any schedule. I've experienced little to no issue scheduling &, what's more, a tremendous amount of support in scheduling & seeing to my commitment to gain greater Spanish language literacy & fluency. Instruction has been fantastic. There's a focus on the structure & grammar, as well as instruction on culture & life in Latin countries that I love. I've learned under Cesar & been incredibly excited by the growth & confidence I've seen in speaking (a real Achille's heel for me). My abilities & confidence have grown in just 30 hours of instruction - I'm excited for what might be gained by another 30!

Fantastic experience: I am so happy I signed up for classes with inlingua Utah! My German tutor was friendly, knowledgeable, and made classes fun. The entire inlingua Utah team was also so friendly and communicative whenever I had a question or needed something. I enjoyed my experience so much that now I’m looking forward to continuing with a second round of classes.

Negative experience: I spent a long time learning Spanish with Inlingua on and off remotely. Because of some difficult life changes I was not always able to keep a consistent schedule. The Inlingua front office regularly sent me nastygrams warning me that I was not using the program on schedule, etc. my teacher was PHENOMENAL, and was the only reason I stuck around. I would give 5 stars for him, but one star for Inlingua. I did not like their interface or their curriculum, and dreaded any interaction with the front office.

Fantastic experience: Inlingua has a great facility--comfortable chairs around hardwood tables; good audio-visual equipment. My teacher is over-qualified but sympathetic to my insecurities with the language, and she's full of the most interesting anecdotes about the language and culture, and persistent with exercises from a text that is fascinating, my last lesson focusing on three fictional eating establishments: Bar Mi Morena (bar of my dark complexioned girlfriend) with tinto de verano (sangria) and carajillo (Irish coffee); Restaurante El Chalán (restaurant of the laborer) with paella (rice and chicken) and ceviche (seafood salad); and Taqueria Milagros (miracle tacos) with tortilla española (omlette) and gambas fritas (fried prawns).

Fantastic experience: Learning French here has been a great experience. The speaking aspect of each class helped me improve a lot. The study material was good as well, there is plenty for me to continue studying and reviewing. Finding a class that fit my schedule was also super easy thanks to the teachers and staff. That was a huge relief for me. This class was a great alternative to college for me, as taking french in college would've required me to buy books and take classes I wasn't necessarily interested in. Thanks to the very friendly staff and Professor Helene for everything! 10/10 Would recommend

They have been very attentive and responsive to her needs. Would recommend to anyone. The class is much more expensive than a community language class, but you pay for what you receive; One on one attention and high quality instruction.

Negative experience: I really enjoyed Inlingua when I first started - I paid for 40 hours of French lessons upfront (~$2k) after my trial class. A few months into my lessons, the pandemic hit, and the school closed down, only offering virtual lessons. I learn much better in person, so I opted out of virtual classes and waited for in-person classes to resume. When the school slowly started scheduling in-person sessions again, my instructor was not comfortable returning yet, so I had to hold out a bit longer. At this point, it had been SEVERAL months since my last lesson, so I decided to request a refund for my remaining 25 hours with full intentions of signing back up for classes in a safer future. Not only had I forgotten the majority of my lessons, but I was also unemployed (due to COVID) and it seemed critical at the time to have nearly $1k paid towards classes that I had no idea when I would be able to take in person again. I explained my reasoning for the refund, and they were very adamant that my remaining hours would not expire and I could come back whenever. While I appreciated this, I still felt the need to stop going altogether and proceed with the refund. Inlingua makes it seem like instructors are paid per class, so I thought requesting money back for my unused hours would not be a big deal. They eventually agreed to a refund, but only a small portion of what I was owed. They explained that because they gave me a 20% discount when I started, they could only refund what I would be owed had I paid for 20 hours in full (still confused on this logic). So out of the ~$1k left for classes not taken, they were only willing to pay back ~$400. This was extremely upsetting to say the least - it felt like I was being penalized for a discount I wasn't even aware of and cheated out of my money. I was not requesting a refund to be inconvenient, I had clearly waited MONTHS for the school to open again to resume my in-person classes. But when you go several months without lessons AND your instructor isn’t comfortable resuming in-person classes, it doesn’t seem unreasonable to request a refund for a service you haven't used/don’t know if you’ll resume in a reasonable time frame. After a few weeks, I decided to not move forward with the refund and instead take advantage of my remaining hours to freshen up my skills for an upcoming trip to France. I quickly learned that these lessons were not compatible with my schedule, so I decided to discontinue my classes altogether 6 lessons in. I had canceled a couple of my classes at this point and completely understood when they “charged” for the classes I canceled with less than a 24-hour notice. I was happy that I gave it another chance, but ultimately knew I needed to cancel for good. I requested a refund for my remaining hours, which at this point totaled to 17.5. When I finally heard back 2 weeks later, they said they were charging me $130 in admin fees for, and I quote, "the training of the teacher and the training of Natasja to schedule and cancel your classes." I'm sorry, what? Training an instructor who has been at Inlingua for years and someone to schedule/cancel my classes is going to cost me another $130? Keep in mind I paid for my 40 hours upfront - you’d expect these “admin fees” to be baked into that cost already. This fee was also not mentioned the first time I requested a refund, so it was completely unexpected and felt extremely unfair. Nonetheless, I'm tired of the back and forth trying to get the refund I am owed - it has been extremely uncomfortable/frustrating justifying my position over and over again to just get the most BS excuses. Saying you can’t lose out on my money (actually said to me over the phone) is completely unprofessional - as if it were my responsibility or fair to put that on me. I paid $49/hr for 40 hours. Technically, my refund should be $857.50 ($49 x 17.5 hours). They are only offering me $335.50. This is w/ the random $130 deduction. Do with that what you will.

Fantastic experience: I started in SLC taking German classes and now I am living in Germany. The classes taken prior to moving have brought about an immeasurable improvement in my ability to enjoy myself in Germany. My instructor is German and very knowledgable even to include the Bavarian regional dialect for my area. The online platform and method is very useful. Therefore, I am looking forward to signing up for another block of instruction even from the other side of the world.

Fantastic experience: During the year in lockdown, with all the extra time, I began to study Spanish again. At first, I did I started on my by purchasing some used textbooks, doing grammars, and tried some YouTube lessons. I even started watching the news and attending church in Spanish. It only got me so far and I discovered I needed a tutor. In search of a local tutor in Salt Lake City, I could not find anyone that had posted ads to return my calls. I almost went with Bertlitz, which is completely online and pricey, but, by chance, I realized I was passing Inlingua Utah on my way to work everyday and I wrote to them on a whim. I received a reply back and found a good plan with a native speaker abroad. It is online but I trusted it more since there was an actual physical location available to me. I am about 5 months in and I am making progress. My goal is fluency so I think it'll be a while to get there. However, meeting with an instructor ties it all together. I am reading books already without much translation, I can understand the news completely, and I am slowly feeling more comfortable speaking. The verb conjugation are my main obstacle. So, in total, I highly recommend the Inlingua Utah location. I am using it for professional and legal Spanish and I very satisfied.

Fantastic experience: Inlingua has been amazing for my boys ages 9 and 11. When their school dropped the language program due to the pandemic, I enrolled them in Spanish lessons with Inlingua. They have learned more Spanish this year then they ever had at their school. Their teacher Beatriz is very engaging and has been able to adapt her teaching style to fit each of their personalities.

Fantastic experience: Inlingua is a great place to learn a language or brush up on a language you already know. I have been studying here for a little over 2 years and have seen a major improvements in my command over German understanding and grammar. Your instructor caters the lessons to your specific interest and needs. My instructor noticed my interest in international politics, law, human rights, culture, cuisine, and arts; with that knowledge all my classes have had at least a few elements from those topic areas. The specificity of the program to your needs and interests makes learning more enjoyable. Inlingua was a great help in my internship in Austria, at a major international law firm, as well as making it easier for me to speak to my in-laws and truly understand the way native speakers communicate. I would highly recommend their courses to anyone seeking to learn a new language or improve on their existing language skills.

Fantastic experience: This is my second time here. My organization contracts with them for the most tailored training. It really is "boutique-style" language acquisition, a definition which wasn't transparent to me initially. They (this branch and the personnel) really do find the best instructors suited to YOUR needs as a customer. I'm working with an instructor native to my specific language who also has a background in English Literature. There is a wealth of cultural knowledge there that further reinforces acquisition by providing context of the language. Much like 'He is a chip off the old block' makes no sense to a learner of English, the instructors are able to provide insight into those nuances that you just don't learn in a traditional high school/college language course. The hours of training are sufficient and allow for much-needed mental breaks. The language materials they provide to students are very suitable. Inlingua Utah is responsive to other resources you may suggest. They already have a vast library, however. The director, Antonella, is hands-off with the training while still being very receptive to student feedback. She seems wholly interested in learning about YOUR language, if she doesn't already know it. If your training goes beyond a week, you'll sit with her to discuss the calibre of training and adjust as needed. It's worth looking seriously in to. Atmosphere: it's in a two story home with a couple bathrooms and you get to interact with other students. They provide free coffee and light snacks and is close to the trolley.

Negative experience: Seems like a great company kind of pricey on the Portuguese classes but I understand everyone has got to make a living my wife and I needed to get some documents translated from Portuguese to English. Dropped them off on a Thursday they said it would be done by Monday. Didn't hear anything back so on Wednesday we stopped by to see what was happening and the gentleman couldn't even get a hold of the person who was supposed to translate them. So they said they would have it by the end of the day. But by 4 o'clock. I had to get it done so went somewhere else. I got a call about them on Friday it was all ready to late. So just ignored it. But hopefully others will have better luck

Fantastic experience: I have to tell you that Sam Elquanni was wonderful! She is a most caring and dedicated teacher. I have learned more from her in a few weeks than I have from any other Arabic teacher. I have purchased many books and programs and found your textbook, Mastering Arabic 1 to be excellent. It covered the elements of the language so I could see how they fit together rather than expecting me to memorize vocabulary in isolation. Thank you for an exceptional learning experience!

Fantastic experience: I went there. Had a 2 to 1 student to teacher ratio which I thought was perfect for my learning needs. They provide snacks and water if you need them. The teachers are contracted for the classes; my teacher was very open to my suggestions about what I needed to learn and what I wanted to study. Priceless, my company sent me here so I don't know how much it cost. Overall, I had a good experience and would go here again.

Fantastic experience: OMG I love Inlingua Utah! I am working on my language qualifications for my company and actually found Inlingua via my company’s list of approved programs. I was a little nervous at first-the up front price was a commitment for me- but after interviewing their linguists my fear quickly disapated. They were knowledgeable and professional yet relatable. Their speakers are native which can be helpful and intimidating especially when it comes to French but from day one the teachers were very helpful and supportive. I liked that I could customize the program to fit my needs. I brought industry specific vocabulary to them and they helped me build my vocabulary in my target language. The group classes were helpful in that we had a small group (4-6) and we were at varying levels so I could learn from some and help coach others. Both great forms of learning yourself. The teacher did a great job in speaking as much French as possible and opting for using actions and other french words to describe an unknown word rather than switching to English and saying it! Isabelle was well thought out in her lesson plans and offered us lots of insight to french culture and norms. That’s something you can’t get from a text book! All in all I would recommend Inlingua- but come ready to work. This is a fast paced environment geared to get you up and running in your target language in a minimal amount of time. Homework is involved and the more time you put into it the better your results will be!! Worth every penny and then some!!!

IF YOU NEED TO RESCHEDULE A LESSON, YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THAT LESSON ANYWAYS AND THEY WILL NEVER REFUND YOUR MONEY IF YOU NEED TO RESCHEDULE A LESSON. THEY WILL NOT WORK WITH YOU ON ANYTHING, THEY LIE ABOUT THEIR SERVICES, THEIR REVIEWS ARE FAKE AND MANY OF THEM ARE DONE BY EMPLOYEES, AND THEIR LANGUAGE LESSONS ARE VERY POOR QUALITY AND ALL THEY DO IS GET A CHEAP TEXTBOOK AND HAVE YOU LOOK AT LESSONS THAT ARE AVAILABLE FREE ON YOUTUBE VIDEOS... IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN LEARNING A LANGUAGE I WOULDN'T USE THIS BUSINESS. IT IS A SCAM, THEY RIP YOU OFF AND TAKE YOUR MONEY, AND IT IS THE WORST CHOICE OF COMPANIES THAT I HAVE EVER MADE. Fantastic experience: I had a rocky start with Inlingua as the teacher they arranged for my Punjabi lessons was Pakistani and Urdu was his first language - moreover, he could not read or write the Gurumuki script used in Punjabi. This was a big problem as I already read and write in Gurumuki and am planning on living in the Sikh Punjab for a year or more. Urdu wasn't what I needed! After a couple of weeks, they were able to locate a native Punjabi that could read and write Gurumukhi and is familiar with the part of India I will be living in. Studies feel like they are really progressing since this shift. The manuals they provided seem a bit cheap. I was looking on Amazon and have seen a bit more expensive manual that looks comprehensive and like it has an easy to follow format. I may need to pick that up at some point. All in all, I am glad they were able to connect me with the Punjabi teacher and I am really enjoying the class time.

Negative experience: I had the most horrible experience with this company! We scheduled Inlingua to translate a permit exam at the DMV. The first time the interpretor showed up without proper company identification and the DMV turned us away. We rescheduled oro DMV appointment and the second time the interpretor that was scheduled didn't even show up because he had not received his identification. However, we were not notified and it was a huge waste of time. I would not recommend using this service.

Their professionalism and attention to details made my experience very enjoyable and stress free. I came away very impressed by their command of nuances in language translation. Antonella was very knowledgeable and got our clinic amazing interpreters we'll be using them for all our clinic needs as we have now switched services to meet all of patients needs in interpretation.

Fantastic experience: I traveled to Salt Lake City and spent a week getting intensive one on one training in German with native German speaker and experienced instructor Denece. It was a fantastic experience! I learned more in that week than I would have learned in months of weekly group classes at a college. I am thrilled with the progress I made.
