Han Yuan Chinese School

Expert Mandarin Instruction for Young Learners

Founded in 2021 by Ms. Han Shuang, Han Yuan Chinese School in Irvine provides a rigorous and engaging Mandarin education for children aged five and up. The school specializes in the prestigious Ma Liping curriculum, ensuring a solid academic foundation in reading, writing, and speaking. While the institution maintains high standards and a strict approach to learning, it achieves this through a warm, supportive environment that fosters a genuine love for the Chinese language and culture.

Small Classes and Personalized Attention

Students benefit from small class sizes, both in-person and online, which allow for individualized feedback and consistent progress. Parents frequently praise Ms. Han for her patience, clarity, and ability to keep students motivated. The school’s dedicated online platform supplements classroom learning, helping children review material efficiently and reducing the burden on parents to assist with homework.

Comprehensive Skills and Cultural Immersion

Beyond basic literacy, the school emphasizes cultural connection and practical application. Through interactive activities, such as stage performances, poetry readings, and holiday celebrations, students gain a deeper appreciation for Chinese traditions. The result is a well-rounded education that enables children to confidently switch between languages, read complex texts, and write with accuracy.
