Experiencia fantástica: We enrolled our 9 and 6 year old in January, and the experience has been excellent. Both of our kids genuinely enjoy the classes, which are consistently engaging and well structured. What stood out most was the public speaking opportunity offered in April. After only three months of instruction, our 9 year old participated and delivered an almost two minute speech entirely in Chinese. He originally wrote the speech in English, and the teachers supported him by translating it into Chinese, guiding him through pinyin, and working closely on pronunciation. They also coached him on delivery, including pacing, confidence, and hand gestures. The combination of structured teaching and practical application made a clear difference. He practiced daily and was able to perform with confidence. Overall, the program does a strong job combining language learning with real world application in a way that keeps kids motivated and progressing quickly.

Experiencia fantástica: We signed up our 4 yo for the heritage grade 1 program and he became immediately infatuated with the weekly classes, which are usually 90 mins long not counting the recess time - 100% beyond attention span of kids at this age group but somehow still apparently feels too short for my 4 yo. One thing I love about the class design is the contextual learning - music, crafting, games, animation - all for introducing a handful of characters in each lesson and proven to be surely effective. You can also sense the enthusiasm and dedication through the details in their course materials and communication with the instructors. One last great thing about BEsideYOU is that they’re closely partnering with culture programs/events, speech contests and lots of highly visible schools - plentiful good opportunities to connect with more people and allow to put learning to practice.

All has changed after we met Ms. Eve, my daughter began to show interest of learning Chinese in private lesson first, and she has been happy after participating Saturday Chinese school. Not only she learned words and conversations, but also learned the culture and traditions. Like the old saying: There is something money can’t buy, I certainly think passing your legacy to next generation is one of those.

Every class brings them the opportunity to develop their vocabulary in Mandarin as they play games and songs that keep the students entertained and interested. Also, unlike a majority of afterschool programs, they take the time to explain to you the lessons of the day, the songs that were sung, along with information about your child’s personalized progress. It has been the best afterschool program investment we have made.

Experiencia fantástica: I would have never thought in a million years that my daughter would be able to speak Mandarin! It’s not an easy language to learn, even for me, but thanks to Ms. Eve, my daughter can speak in small sentences and also understand and translate words when she hears it on TV. The way Ms. Eve teaches with repetition and play in a small group setting has been very effective. We are very happy and lucky to have her.
