Fantastic experience: I am so satisfied with what I’ve been able to accomplish with Brenda and Spanish Learning Center! The class sizes are small and the ability to meet virtually makes attending very convenient. Students are given the opportunity to practice speaking Spanish in a comfortable setting each and every class. I have completed the beginner level one course and I’m in the middle of level two. I’m definitely planning to continue with these courses! It’s been the best way to learn.

Fantastic experience: I wish I could give 10 stars! Brenda is the sweetest, most patent teacher I have ever had. I am in class with a number of people just starting this journey. She quickly got to a point where she understood how each of us learned individually, and adapted her classes for each of our learning styles. The classes are interactive. She challenges every member of the class equally. We make a lot of mistakes, but she has an uncanny way of making it feel ok to get things wrong. This type of personalized/interactive training is just something you could never get on an app. Recommend her and the Learning Center to anyone interested in learning Spanish!

Fantastic experience: This has been the best class I have found to learn Spanish. Brenda tailors the class for her students. She gives each student time to practice speaking. She also includes grammar, so you know why something is said the way it is. The classes are taught over zoom - it is like being in a live class, however you can be located anywhere to participate. I highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: If you're in ANY state in the US and looking for online Spanish language classes, sign up with Spanish Learning Center! Classes are all on Zoom and you'll begin speaking Spanish from day 1. Brenda, her teachers, and the students at the school are incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and kind and will improve your Spanish immediately. This is a much better method for learning a language than any experience I've ever had in a university or academic setting. This school will not only assist you in learning grammar and rules, but in truly learning to speak and understand fluently. Even after many years of academic instruction, the only way I was able to become comfortably fluent in Spanish is thanks to The Spanish Learning Center. Highly recommend for students of all ages!

Fantastic experience: I am delighted to submit this stellar review for the Spanish Learning Center. I started taking classes with Brenda, the founder and owner, several years ago and have taken them nonstop (except for a period of time during which I was recuperating from surgery) since I began. Brenda has patience and a gift for teaching Spanish in a way that demonstrates respect for the students and that fosters our respect for her and for each other. All the classes are small and tailored to a student’s familiarity with Spanish, and students have been varied in terms of age, background, and level of exposure to Spanish and other languages; all, however, have been serious students, open to learning about culture in addition to grammar and other language skills. For myself, I can say that I have studied---to various degrees of fluency---several languages, for my previous life as an archaeologist (Greek, Latin, German, and French) or for fun and because of friends and happy travel experiences (Japanese). I have studied Spanish on and off for decades, in large part due to family history in Spain and Argentina. I can therefore claim a fair amount of experience studying languages, and I can honestly say that Brenda’s classes have been the most productive and enjoyable. Supplementing textbooks with a variety of materials that make the classes lively and challenging (YouTube videos of songs, Spanish-language news articles, and poems, among others), Brenda offers a great class for anyone who wants either to learn from the beginning or to improve abilities in and knowledge of the Spanish language and Latin culture.

Fantastic experience: I have been taking Spanish classes here more than one year now. The classes are very interactive and fun. The instructor, Brenda, designed the course in such a way that it is easier for non-native speakers of Spanish to pick up Spanish very fast. The classes are available both online and in person. I would encourage everyone to try out the classes.

Negative experience: Started in the beginner class which I wasn’t a true beginner. The book that was required multiple ppl didn’t have, the instructor Alicia was very unresponsive. I have tried emailing the owner Brenda and sent messages on skype which is the platform being used during the pandemic right now for classes to no response. I’m assuming she does not want to give a refund. The teacher was mediocre.

Fantastic experience: I had the great fortune to take Spanish language classes with Brenda a few years back. She is a wonderful teacher - very patient. And we had good fun. I even went to Guatemala one year for the intensive Spanish language class with Brenda`s group. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: The class is awesome! We are basically talking and learning in the class. The class is a small group between 5-7 people. By the way, the price is affordable.

Fantastic experience: The Spanish Learning Center is just what I need to fit my busy schedule. The price is reasonable and the teacher is warm and competent. As a teacher myself, I appreciate Brenda's attention to detail and demand for quality. Attending classes two times a week forces me to use my Spanish routinely. As a result, I can't grow lazy and put it off for later. Thank you to the Spanish Learning Center for helping me reach my Spanish goals!

Fantastic experience: I have been taking individual Spanish lessons through the Spanish Learning Center, with Brenda, via Skype, for the past two years. I have also attended two immersion weekends through the Spanish Learning Center. I believe I have made significant progress over these last two years and I am proud to say that Brenda is my teacher! Brenda is knowledgeable, patient, and motivating. She provides the perfect combination of challenge and encouragement in order to allow me to learn and grow in my Spanish skills including: conversation, grammar, reading, writing, and pronunciation. I recommend Brenda and the Spanish Learning Center without hesitation, for anyone near or far, who would like to become proficient in Spanish.

Fantastic experience: I have been learning Spanish with Brenda at the Spanish Learning Center for over a year now, and I highly recommend her. She offers small classes, couples classes, or private lessons (ie - she will tailor the instruction to your specific needs and learning style). I have mainly done private lessons as I prefer to go at my own pace, and I have really enjoyed learning Spanish with Brenda. Though Brenda is a native speaker, she is also a serious student of linguistics. I have had native tutors in the past that understand their own language, but cannot answer all my questions and explain things thoroughly in English. In contrast, Brenda has a deep understanding of the grammatical structure of language in both Spanish and English, and is always able to answer my most detailed questions. Having advanced to an intermediate proficiency with Brenda's help, we now have enjoyable conversations in Spanish, and delve into the grammatical details when necessary to correct my mistakes. In summary, Brenda is a great teacher and a wonderful person and I recommend her to all my friends who have an interest in improving their Spanish.

Fantastic experience: Brenda has an excellent style of teaching Spanish. I only had a few months of instruction then had to terminate because I was too busy (just doing this to broaden my horizons). What was so nice was her willingness to work with my schedule. She always goes way out of her way to make sure her classes can be attended. Her style is very interactive which made learning faster and more enjoyable. Great place to learn Spanish I highly recommend using the Spanish Learning Center in Tempe.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend the Spanish Learning Center for any level of Spanish study. Brenda is an excellent teacher. A native of Guatemala, she excels in both Spanish and English. Class sizes are small, not exceeding 6 students. At the Advanced level, our class reads and reports on magazine articles, watches and discusses interviews and translates songs among other activities. I've met lots of interesting and well-rounded people through this school. It's a gem that I'm very glad I found.

Fantastic experience: Can't say enough about Brenda and this school! It's very reasonably priced, with convenient class schedules, a native speaker teaching who's proficient in Spanish and English, and TINY class sizes that make you feel like you're being tutored 1 on 1. You'd be silly to go anywhere else!
