Negative experience: This for profit institution is one of the worst places to learn English. Too many instructors are just slacking off, and they care nothing about students' benefits and interests. Instructors also take every opportunity to show their arrogance. The director is clearly the leading example that CESL at University of Arizona should not be taken as a place to learn, for this is a place to be ripped off and be treated like dirt. I learned much more at Pima with much more respect.

Fantastic experience: CESL is an excellent place to learn English.

Negative experience: Speaking strictly for myself, not much helpful and a waste of hard earned money. Extremely hard to interact with students with soft and mumbling pronunciation that may be normal in their culture.

Negative experience: CESL at U of A gave me the impression that it's a for profit organization with toxic administrations. I switched to Pima Community College after realizing how incompetent some of the CESL teachers are. Ironically, despite the high turn over rate of CESL' s teaching and low level administrative staff, the bad teachers actually tend to stay. Pima offers much cheaper and better education.

Fantastic experience: I’m so proud that I was one of Saudi students who studied English Language at CESL for a year and half. Beautiful memories. I won’t forget my stunning teachers (Welch, Stewart Paul, Angelina, Kathreen, Veronica, Olga, and Hammink) who taught and empowered me in English Language. CESL is a such an amazing Engliah Language Center. Honestly, all staff are so friendly and helpful. I would strongly recommend CESL to International students.

Fantastic experience: I used to have a teacher in CESL, she was very strict. And she often gave me low grades, I used to very dislike her. But I found that she is a good teacher after graduation, that is because my spoken English is more fluent than that of my classmates in other classes. I'm grateful to her now.

Fantastic experience: Students can learn lots of things in CESL. It's going to help integrate into the US. For example, CESL has many activities including watching hockey, basketball and international festival.

CESL provided outdoor activities every week for us to explore Tucson and nearby. I joined several clubs too so I can meet more friends! Negative experience: They don't care about teaching, they only care about money. They charge you for everything every semester. There are fees on everything. I guess in the future they will charge for using the bathroom! Also, they're very very very rude!

Negative experience: Be carful with Amber (director of immigration) she is rude , does not respect students and she cancels their I20 for any reason in her mind!! Sometimes she does not even bother to inform the student that he is kicked out and his visa is canceled. Moreover, a funny fact is that one of the teachers she is good in teaching , but she tells the students do not bother yourself if you want to make a complaint since her husband is in charge of it and if he is in vacation or not there she will be in charge of that. To sum up, This is a good English school with all its teachers just make sure that you do not have to deal with Amber.

Positive experience: Good teachers strict adminstation

Negative experience: Adminestration is very bad and uncooperative. They refuse to give me admission paper to finish with my scholarship agency. They just want you to go get vaccination and refer you to campus health clinic to pay 75 dollars for just unneeded extra dose of mmr vaccine...just to get some money out of you..I dont know where to complain
