Every Monday when I ask how his day went, his predictable comment is “I learned Spanish today!” Grateful for the convenience of the program as well, since the teachers come to his preschool and we don’t have to drive him to another activity. Fantastic experience: The best! My 5yo daughter takes online Spanish classes with Senora Theresa - and she LOVES it! The curriculum is wonderful for any level beginners to budding speakers, and the class size is small, so all children can engage - my daughter can speak and sing and count in Spanish now. Senora Theresa does an incredible job at making the online lessons really fun, vibrant and engaging for all of the children. These have brought such joy to my daughter in an otherwise scary and chaotic year - and we hope that we will be able to continue well beyond the pandemic. Highly recommend!!!

Fantastic experience: The Teach and Learn Spanish books by Theresa O. Gunderson, M.Ed. are highly organized. Each month has different activities to be covered. In the beginning of each book you will find a lesson plan with the activities, vocabulary, objectives, and supplies needed. Then the book explains each activity, how to do the activity, and lists the vocabulary that is to be learned. Included in each book is a CD that has tracks for each activity. Included in each book are songs, pictures of the vocabulary to be learned, and flash cards to go with the pictures. To even get more organized you need to get a curriculum box or plastic box. It is recommended to have separate hanging folders for the following themes: rules, numbers, colors, and alphabet. Then get 12 hanging folders for each month to put the book, laminated visuals, and flash cards in the back of the book in each folder. What I like about the curriculum is that everything is ready for you to teach. No need to hunt for activities, or visuals, songs, and flash cards, etc. Everything is ready for you as a parent or teacher. Little planning is needed. Study the activities, laminate the visuals, and flash cards and you are ready to teach.

Fantastic experience: My son took classes with Ms. Theresa at daycare for a couple of years and is now following along with her online classes when we are able. He absolutely adores her and he has learned so much. It's no exaggeration to say that the magical half hour on Tuesday afternoons was the highlight of his week. There were times when he wanted to stay home in the mornings until I reminded him what day it was. He would hop out of bed and say, "Spanish is on Tuesdays!" We are crossing our fingers that we can get back to in-person class again someday, but are so grateful for the online version in the meantime.

Fantastic experience: I have know Theresa since High School and she has always been interested in learning and teaching Spanish. I recently lost my job and saw Theresa had some beginning Spanish for adults so I thought I would try it out. Theresa is just as I remember, very sweet and even more knowledgeable about Spanish than ever. She is easy to follow and makes learning fun, I highly recommend her lessons.

I love the content of the classes and the curriculum and my daughter asks when her Spanish class is daily. We love to see her grow and learn and engage. Fantastic experience: We’ve been using Teach and Learn Spanish for about 4 years as part of our homeschooling curriculum. Our children are currently 9, 7, 5, and 2. The books are full of so much great learning and integrate fun monthly themes. The pronunciation keys, songs, games, pictures, and audio CDs of most of the lessons are extremely helpful and fun. We reuse the curriculum year after year as my children learn more in depth each time and can assist their siblings. The new virtual classes are engaging and fun plus a great value! I’ve been amazed with how much my children have learned through this curriculum. It’s so fun to hear them singing in Spanish and sharing what they’ve learned with grandparents. The best way to describe the curriculum is as a true treasure!!

Fantastic experience: Miss Theresa is a very dedicated professional. She is great at teaching Spanish, and kids love her. During Covid -19 pandemic, she transitioned her classes to online mode, and by far, these are the best online classes my son attends. She gives personal attention to each kid, encourages them individually, and appreciates the uniqueness of each kid. Her classes are fun and action filled, and my son does not like to miss even a single class. Miss Theresa keeps finding new ways to engage and teach kids. My son has shown amazing progress with her.

Fantastic experience: Our 9 years old kids startet the Virtual Spanish Lessons about three weeks ago. It is just amazing to see how much fun they have and how proud they are to learn a new language. Without knowing a single word in spanish before, they are now able to count to 30, they are singing songs and they are able to describe their clothing in simple words. Fantastic experience: My 3 year old has been taking Spanish classes with Senora Theresa at daycare for over a year and loves it. And I love it even more now that classes are available online! The days feel extra long sheltering in place, so having something that is both educational and fun for her to do is wonderful. And because the classes are online she can participate in multiple classes a week, which is awesome. She is engaged in the classes, loves the puppets, songs, and dances, and is actually learning to speak Spanish. These classes are great, and I highly recommend it to other parents of young kids!

Fantastic experience: My 5yo son has taken Spanish class through his preschool for the last two years. He has learned so much in this time — counting, colors, conversational phrases and compliments, and a ton of seasonal and holiday vocabulary. During this current period of social distancing, he has been participating in the live online classes. I am so impressed with how Miss Theresa has taken her lessons online and allowed our family to maintain this bit of normalcy each week. It’s been fun for me, as a parent, too, learning along!

Fantastic experience: I used this Spanish curriculum when I was teaching preschool at Especially for Children in Bloomington, MN. My students absolutely LOVED it. The activities and songs are wonderful and there are so many options each month that if the kids didn't seem to enjoy a certain activity for some reason we had plenty of other choices. Several of the parents told me that their kids were remembering the words and phrases from Spanish class and using them at home! As a teacher, this curriculum is very easy to use and you could easily teach it if even if you don't know any Spanish. Theresa O'Neill is also easily accessible and happy to answer any questions or help you through any challenges you encounter. I would highly recommend trying this curriculum!

Fantastic experience: My son is 3 (almost 4) and just started taking Spanish lessons with Ms. Theresa. She comes to his daycare center, which makes it so easy for us! I was hesitant to enroll my son because he is a little shy and hasn’t shown any real interest in it, but he absolutely adores the class! This is a kid who begs me almost daily not to go to “school,” but when I tell him he gets to go to Spanish class, he yells “yay!” and practically runs to the car! And when I ask him about the class aftewards, he tells me it is “awesome” and then chatters on and on about all the fun stuff they do, including singing and even getting prizes! Ms. Theresa is clearly meant to work with children — she has such a wonderful manner with them and makes learning so much fun. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: My three year old daughter first met Theresa from O'Neil Language Academy at New Horizon for weekly Spanish lessons. My daughter can be very shy but Theresa always made a special place for her in the group circle so she could feel comfortable. My daughter not only loved Theresa but loved learning Spanish so much that she is now going to be starting at a Spanish Immersion preschool. My husband and I do not speak Spanish but Theresa has given us the tools to practice and learn along with our daughter at home. Spanish lessons of Friday with Theresa from O'Neil Language Academy gave our family more of a gift than we could have ever imagined. Thank you Theresa! Fantastic experience: I have been absolutely impressed with Theresa and the Teach & Learn Spanish program. My daughter is coming home every week with exciting new things she is learning. She often counts in Spanish with out even thinking about it and she loves to tell me colors while we are out and about. Also, Theresa provides the most wonderful online support tools so I can participate in my daughters' learning.

Fantastic experience: Our 3yo daughter has been attending Theresa’s Spanish class through day care for the last six months and is loving it! She is now regularly counting in Spanish at home and thanks to the awesome parent resource portal on the O’Neill Language Academy website, we can practice Spanish at home with her. The short weekly videos make it easy for parents to stay in the loop on what the kids are learning in class and reinforce the concepts at home. This last week we incorporated abrazos and besos (hugs & kisses) into our bedtime routine. Would highly recommend Theresa and the O’Neill Spanish program to anyone!

Fantastic experience: My experience with Teach & Learn Spanish has been wonderful! I have had the opportunity to sit in the class and participate in the engaging activities with my child. I have watched my daughter benefit from the child-centered language program that involves music, movement, color and games. The curriculum has been designed for parents or teachers to use and is easy to implement. My child always looks forward to the class and is so proud to use the language skills in our home and with anyone she meets. Mrs. Gunderson is a gift to our child, and I could not give a higher recommendation for a language instructor.

Fantastic experience: My child has been taking Spanish with Theresa since he was 1.5 years old, and he loves it. Here's a story to illustrate: Often in the morning he doesn't want to get his shoes and coat on to go to daycare. One morning, he was hiding when it was time to get his coat on. I told him he had Spanish class today, and he immediately ran to the door and started banging on it! He was so excited!

The material is providing all that I need to teach Spanish to all these different age levels. The CD and games are AMAZING! Fantastic experience: We saw our daughter regularly coming home after class days (class was offered through daycare) excited about what she had learned, wanting to share with us – and occasionally “teach” us too. It was clear our daughter really enjoyed Theresa as a teacher – which only greater served her ability to pick up Spanish. Theresa was also always available and flexible to us as parents as well, which was greatly appreciated. We’ll certainly miss Spanish with Theresa at daycare (going to school in the fall), but will look into the online tools and lessons offered. Great experience!
