Uceda English Institute

Negative experience: This school tried to prevent me from transferring to another school and attempted to take away my right to education. To do this, they come up with ridiculous offers, make empty promises, and ask inappropriate personal questions. While I’m waiting for them to process my transfer, they send me a link for monthly payments. They tell lies like, “You have to study for a few months to keep your I-20 active.” Don’t believe any of their lies. And learn your legal rights. They act as if they haven’t seen the emails I sent them. This place is a complete waste of time! I’m glad I didn’t accept their invitation to study there and instead transferred to another school. It was one of the best decisions I’ve made in the U.S. There are higher-quality schools in New York and New Jersey that operate professionally. And there are schools with more affordable application fees and reasonable tuition. Definitely choose another school!

Fantastic experience: Great English course. The teachers, Alexa, Kalvin, and Mehmet, really make learning easy and interesting. They explain things in a simple way and always help when you don’t understand. I improved my writing and speaking a lot. Overall, a very good class and I would recommend it.

Negative experience: I graduated from the Uceda Institute in 2001. I decided to go back to study. I had an appointment today. I went to the receptionist, and I told her I am here to take a test to see in what I am in. She told me I needed to pay $140 for the tuition. I told her ,I just want to know in what level I am in. I believe that is not right for a person that graduated for the Uceda institute to be charged for a level english test. I would have paid more that 3000 dollars if they would have given me the test with out no cost. Please be smart, and don't charge the people that graduated from the Uceda Institute.

Negative experience: I am not satisfied with this institute, as it did not meet my expectations. Unfortunately, there is a teacher whose behavior I find inappropriate and unprofessional, and I sincerely hope this issue is addressed promptly. I enrolled here to learn English, not Spanish. I respectfully ask that both students and staff be encouraged to speak English during class and on campus to ensure a more effective learning environment for all. Please stop using Spanish in class—it creates a barrier for those of us trying to improve our English.

Fantastic experience: As an International F1 student of UCEDA i would say this is the school which I was looking for.It certainly helped me to learn english, improve my pronunciation and my listening. I started it from the beginning level and now I’m pretty sure that I know better English than before.The classes were great. my teachers were able to teach all of us by using activities that allow us to communicate and speak with each other, what meant the lessons were funny and I really enjoyed them. I made friends that live in places so far away from my country, and the school gave me the opportunity to know them. I could also enjoy the tours. It was good to visit places I was not able to visit on my own. The tours were relaxed, we could have fun and learn more about different areas. Everyone at the school was respectful and warm, and made me feel relaxed and welcomed. Where we visited multiple of oldest pizza places in NYC, and had the opportunity to have some of there pizza. This pizza tour and many field trips before that all where phenomenally fun all thanks to our lovely school UCEDA, and our respected teachers Sinan and Peter where they do all the hard work to make sure that we get great tuition with many new information almost every school day and they make us have fun with many activities all year round. Negative experience: Hello everyone I honestly have to leave a review so people don’t make the same mistake i did when I signed up with this school and discovered that it’s one of the most unprofessional school on earth I’ve been to schools in Germany , Greece , UK and Jordan and I have never seen a school this unprofessional with literally everything they do starting with there appointments they would literally send you an email at 9:30 pm saying you have to be there tomorrow at 2:30 pm and when you reply to the email saying you can’t make it they don’t reply back each time you call them a different person gives you a different story my first day attending i had no idea what my classes were …weird usually you would get a schedule just to notice that after the lecture was half way done they sent me an email with my schedule just for me to find out im in the wrong class honestly worst school experience in my life … to add on if your English is good and ur trying to make it better this is definitely not the place for you

Negative experience: I would like to testify you that I had a very bad, inconvenient and very frustrating experience with this English school. This place in a jungle and no one know anything and all the promotions are scam because at the end when you realized they never give you nothing. If you are advanced student you pay double and the facilities are just terrible. NO MONEY BACK GURANTEE this is their rule. F1 students are repeating all courses as they can not provide good academic courses. My cousin was very devastated and stressful at the time that she requested to transfer to other school because they made her live miserable. They made her to pay more and invented that she needs to study for 6 months more if she wants to transfer. They made her to wasted her time as she complaint to the immigration and they made them to transfer her. At the end she didn’t have any refund. After a very difficult long 3 months of torture I am in a better place. PLEASE, AVOID THIS PLACE AND DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY !! THERE ARE SO MANY CENTERS THAT OFFER THESE SERVICES RATHER THAN THIS ONE. TRUST ME DON'T TRY THIS CENTER
