Experiencia fantástica: I passed Level 3 on my first try here. It was also the first time in my life that I took an English class. I have always been a self-taught student. I really couldn’t communicate automatically before coming here. However, the principal of Beate Berg helped me, and especially Ana, the Brazilian teacher, turned our class into a dynamic and fluent group of students. We started to mingle and improve our English as a second language together. Whether we are from Colombia, Thailand, China, Vietnam, Arabia, Brazil, Japan, or any other country, we have a common language. Outside of class, we visit museums, go out to practice communicating with local people. I plan to speak well to find a good university or job in the future. Every 12 weeks, you will have a 4-week break to travel before you can continue to the next level, or you can experience the same level again. This will be a memory that I will never forget when I am in the U.S.

Experiencia negativa: This place is a complete disaster. For almost a year, classes have been disrupted due to renovations—they hold classes online whenever they want and call you to campus whenever they want. I’ve been stuck in this ridiculous system for nearly a year. If you have a good relationship with the school director, you can skip classes; there are many students who haven’t attended school for 3–4 years and still keep their visa status active. But if you’re not sucking up to the director, even being 30 minutes late to class can get your visa threatened for cancellation. I will get out of this school as soon as possible. 这里简直是一场灾难。差不多一年了，由于装修，课程一直被打乱——他们想什么时候在线上上课就什么时候在线上上课，想什么时候叫你到校园就什么时候叫你。我已经被困在这个荒谬的系统里将近一年了。如果你和校长关系好，可以不去上课；有很多学生已经三四年没去学校，但签证状态仍然保持有效。但如果你不讨好校长，即使上课迟到30分钟，也可能被威胁取消签证。我会尽快离开这所学校。
