Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been taking classes with The Art of Spanish Institute for about six months and have had a great experience. I started with very little Spanish, and their structured approach of combining lecture, practical application, and additional reading, writing, and listening exercises has been very effective. Elisa is an excellent teacher. She's knowledgeable, patient, and engaging, and best of all brings a great sense of humor to the lessons. I also have a fairly unpredictable work schedule, and both Elisa and Javier have been extremely flexible with class times, which I really appreciate. I plan to continue learning with them and would highly recommend the program to anyone looking for a supportive and well-organized, affordable way to learn Spanish.

Experiencia fantástica: I enrolled last October to learn Spanish to feel more comfortable communicating with others when we traveled and because my kids are bilingual (dual language primary school). I genuinely look forward to my classes with Elisa; she has a wonderful personality that makes our time fun but she also gently corrects me when I make (multiple) mistakes. Classes are very structured which works really well for me also. She teaches the lessons from the book, we work on the following exercises together, and then I do them again for homework. It reinforces what I’ve learned. At the start of each class, we just have a relaxed conversation about our weekend, plans for the week, life, etc which is great for not only listening comprehension but good practice for me to speak the language. I’m learning so much more this way than I was on Duolingo.

I chose the one-on-one online classes, which are very convenient and provide a lot of speaking practice. When I've needed to reschedule a class it has been very easy to do so. The fact that classes are completely in Spanish helps to accelerate my learning, and the accountability and consistency are the key to my success thus far. I will continue to take and enjoy my classes here for a long time to come.

Experiencia fantástica: Very organized, and very helpful! I have been doing 2 hour classes once per week for 4 months now. My wife is from Paraguay and I have been trying to learn Spanish for a few years now, as that is a good bridge language to her family. Juan, my instructor is very patient, and fun to learn from. I have taken Spanish immersion classes before this, and I can tell that his techniques for language learning are highly effective. My wife is also a language teacher and she has noticed a positive difference in my learning and understanding as well. The key though - you can do all of the homework, but you really need to put the language to practice every day. That has been the hardest part but it is the most important. I am grateful for this school because it has helped my wife and I focus on what we need to practice each week. Otherwise, trying to just learn from my spouse becomes too nebulous and adds to the already existing frustration of learning another language. Thank you, Javier and Juan, for everything!

Experiencia fantástica: Hands down one of the best professional development courses I've ever taken. I enrolled in the week-long immersion program and have been thoroughly impressed with the instructors/Institute. We speak Spanish the entire time - from the moment I walk in the door until I leave 4 hours later. I've never felt so confident with my skills before! The instructors handle corrections swiftly and with kindness, the student page has a lot of great resources (podcasts, audio files), and the facility is clean and quiet. Sure, we're using a textbook with a 2004 copyright.... AND Spanish hasn't really changed in the last 20 years. Besides, when I've run into outdated phrases (renting a movie, for example), we pivot and talk about how the verb "rent" ("aquilar") can be applied to renting an apartment. Win-win.

Experiencia fantástica: I had no previous experience with Spanish and started learning as a strategy to stay busy during the Covid pandemic. I have taken one-on-one Spanish classes for almost five years and it has enabled me to consider moving to Mexico. The Art of Spanish Institute has a comprehensive academic program that includes text books, on line videos, and links to other useful resources. My instructor is patient and intelligent and I always enjoy classes with her.

Experiencia fantástica: Love this school so much! One of the few schools in Denver which allows you to book intense lessons of up to 4 hours or more in a day.

Experiencia negativa: Do not even think about attending this school. You will receive a 20 year old outdated textbook that they will charge you $35 and you can buy on eBay for 1 penny. They will then have you sit in a class while they spend the entire time writing on a white board and send you home with middle school homework and a bunch of free YouTube videos. DO NOT WASTE ONE PENNY HERE

Experiencia negativa: Do not even think about taking classes at this fraudulent school. They will sell you a textbook that is used and 20 years old for $35 and then have you sit in a room while they spend the majority of your time writing on the whiteboard and send you home with videos that are on YouTube. This is the worst outdated Spanish program possible. Do not even think about wasting your money.

Experiencia fantástica: I have taken Spanish classes at the Art of Spanish Insititute for approximately 1.5 years. Javier and team were very flexible with my schedule which often changed due to work. The course work was challenging as expected and as needed. My instructor, Cecilia was fantastic! She is intelligent, patient and has a great sense of humor which made classes enjoyable!!! I highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: My daughter has taken a Spanish Class from AoS for approximately the last five years. We're ending the classes now only because she will be taking Spanish in high school. Our instructor was incredible. She went at our pace and was able to hold the interest of a tween/teen on a weekly basis for 1.5 hours, which (at least in my mind) is no small feat. Would highly recommend.

My Spanish has never improved so much so quickly than at The Art of Spanish Institute. I am over the moon about my progress! I also cannot say enough good things about the teachers. Juan Carlos, Ceci and Elisa were phenomenal. They tailor each class to my individual needs and I cannot wait to keep improving with their help and expertise. They are also all so kind and fun to work with!

Javier was able to quickly identify my current level of fluency in our initial conversation and assign me to the right level to begin studying. I had taken Spanish through high school and a little bit into college. I was interested in starting Spanish again as I was working with a Spanish-speaking client and planned multiple trips to the country. I was amazed at how much my Spanish improved over time. I enjoyed the diversity of instruction modalities including text books, practice exercises, audio and video, reading and writing, and conversation prompts. I definitely recommend The Art of Spanish Institute for anyone serious about learning Spanish, regardless of your current level of fluency.

Experiencia fantástica: I decided to work The Art of Spanish to improve my listening and speaking capabilities. What I have enjoyed most is the methodology of instruction. They do not concentrate on conjugation of verbs and the numerous types of verb conjugation as so many instructors do. They start with present tense and work with this until you understand how each verb is used. Then there are the audios - short stories of maybe 2 minutes. Since the classes are entirely in Spanish, listening to these has helped me understand the common phrases used everyday. And, my speaking has improved to a point where my maestra, Elisa, and I can talk and joke at the beginning of class about everyday things. I definitely recommend the Art of Spanish for anyone wanting to begin learning or those, like me, wanting to improve their Spanish Comments about scheduling. I have had to move classes around due to other commitments. But, I have found Javier to be very accommodating. While I understand that some students want to talk directly with the instructor, he would rather have them concentrate on teaching and not scheduling.

As a beginner I appreciate their learning concepts and I am my able to progress with my conversation interest. , Art of Spanish is well organized and very professional.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been taking weekly classes since September 2021 (So, almost a year) and have had a great experience with TAOSI. I started in a group class, and then shortly transitioned to private classes (the other students left for personal reasons). Both experiences have been different, but positive. I live in the Cap Hill neighborhood and having such a great resource nearby is unmatched and convenient. Bonus, parking is easy/free. My main reason for taking lessons was that my husband and I love travel and visit Mexico at least once a year (CDMX, Guadalajara, Mazatlan, beach towns, etc.) I wanted to better communicate with the locals and not rely on their knowledge of English as much. Knowing Spanish allows me to immerse myself more in the culture and bring greater appreciation to both Mexicans and other Spanish-speaking countries/cultures. Plus, Colorado's population is 1/5th Latino! I also just wanted to challenge myself to learning something new. My teacher, Elisa, has been an excellent teacher the last eleven months. She is smart, kind, patient, funny, and makes my weekly classes breeze by! The entire class is 100% in Spanish, but immersing yourself in this way makes for a more successful and enjoyable experience. I was really shy at first to make mistakes, but I have noticed a huge improvement in my confidence and my overall knowledge. I've started to feel more comfortable talking about what I did over the weekend or attempting more complex sentences (even if we haven't gotten to past-tense or future-tense yet). As my teacher says, "poco a poco"! Elisa is the best! I think that the pacing of my knowledge is great and is intentional as to not overwhelm you. There are times when things can feel repetitive, but I also know that it's reinforcing what I've learned which is never a bad thing. There is SO much to learn regarding a language, but you get out what you put in, and the same can be said for this school. In addition to in-class time, there is a couple hours of homework each week. But, the knowledge I have compared to a year ago is wild! My husband has commented multiple times about it, my friends are shocked at how much I've learned in the last year, and I legitimately received compliments from Mexicans on our last trip on my Spanish (Ubers are a great place to practice small talk). My classes are well worth the investment. My reading/writing/speaking feels good, but listening remains the most difficult challenge I continue to work hard at. To the person who complained about class flexibility I can touch on that. Yes sometimes it is frustrating when the school is closed for a holiday, your instructor is sick, or you need to schedule around a vacation. Javier does a pretty good job at offering options to work with you. I do wish classes could be pushed to the next month especially when my calendar fills up, but I understand the issues that could create in tracking that.

Experiencia negativa: Two stars because their teachers seem decent, but otherwise bad experience. They are a low tech company with an inflexible cancellation policy. If you need to cancel or reschedule, you need to email Javier (no communication with the teacher or scheduling software). I only had availability two nights a week and they do not not credit classes towards the next month of lessons, so not being able to attend a class meant I essentially had no choice but to pay for lessons I couldn't attend. While trying to figure this our over a circuitous email thread, Javier started being very rude and unprofessional. I will be taking Spanish lessons elsewhere. If you are not someone with a lot of availability, make sure to read their cancellation policy in detail and be prepared for a lot of inefficient (and potentially unpleasant) email threads.

Experiencia fantástica: The Art of Spanish did a fantastic job of of not only teaching vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation, but also exposing us to cultural treasures. My instructor Sailine, was very approachable, understanding, and knew how to teach the Spanish language very well. I would highly recommend.

The lessons go by very quickly and even though I feel totally wiped out at the conclusion of the session, I know that I have absorbed that days experience. Homework is moderate and does need to be done to make progress. Totally pleased! Although sometimes parking is an issue!!

Experiencia fantástica: Great institute for me as I was trying to pick Spanish back up again. The teachers are very nice and they have a good system down (oral skills, writing skills, and vocab/grammar). My first 8 lessons were extremely easy and didn't feel as worth it as my other lessons because it was all review (present tense regular verbs), but the lessons after that I finally felt like I was learning new things and putting them into practice. They give you access to all the materials online which is super helpful (especially in COVID times!) Keep in mind that you cannot schedule your classes until you pay and all scheduling is done by request via email (there is no visual calendar), so you may have to switch teachers if you work full time and don't have a ton of availability during the day. Even when my teacher switched though, it was a smooth transition! I very much enjoyed these classes and hope to continue! Juan Carlos is an amazing teacher!

I started at basically 0 and notice progress every week. The program is also very well planned, providing me practice in class and homework each week. The homework is manageable while still ensuring that I'm practicing Spanish outside of the sessions.

I really enjoy the instructors, the school, the course curriculum, homework, and just the overall way they teach. You're able to incorporation reading, writing, and of course listening and speaking. I originally thought I would take spanish to become proficient enough for travel, but have now realized I can incorporate Spanish into my everyday life. Did you know the State of CO is 21% spanish speaking, at least as their first language? It's important to me to be able to interact with those in my community. Experiencia fantástica: My 13-year-old son has been taking private, weekly Spanish lessons at the Art of Spanish Institute for more than two years. His experience has been fantastic! He has worked with different teachers over the years, but each of them -- all native speakers -- have been very professional and great at working with him. He has developed his Spanish speaking, comprehension, and writing skills tremendously. One of his teachers even had him exchanging letters with a pen pal in Mexico, which was a lot of fun for my son! We recently traveled to Colombia, where I often relied on my son to communicate on behalf of our family. Thanks to the Art of Spanish Institute, he spoke (and understood) Spanish easily and proficiently and was regularly praised by Colombians for his excellent speaking skills. He has been helpful in including work related topics into our lessons (I work in the mental health field) and my language ability has improved so much! I’ve really enjoyed my classes and my time at The Art of Spanish Institute!

Experiencia fantástica: I took a week-long immersion class with Cecilia. The course was fantastic, and she is an excellent, patient teacher. There is a huge variety of exercises and activities, switching between listening, watching videos, reading, practicing conversation, and working on grammar and vocabulary. It is a lot of work, and a very tiring week, but also interesting and very valuable. I suggest reviewing verb conjugation ahead of time, so that you are not hit with too much at once. I highly recommend the course and also Cecilia as a teacher.

The classes were so much fun, the feedback from employees was amazing, and it was great to have something to bring the office together. I feel like they made it easy to learn and I am so grateful for the experience from them!

Experiencia fantástica: I have attended Spanish classes at The Art Institute of Spanish for almost a year now. It has been incredibly helpful in my endeavor to learn Spanish. Everyone at the Institute is very kind and helpful and is always seeking to do the best job. They have been accommodating to all of my schedule needs. My teacher Juan Carlos is not only excellent at speaking and teaching Spanish, my classes with him are one of my favorite parts of the day. It is always enjoyable and never intimidating. I travel to Spanish speaking countries often, and in under a year, I can communicate and understand my Spanish speaking friends and loved ones MUCH more effectively. It is amazing! I highly recommend the school and any of the teachers there.

Experiencia fantástica: The classes are fun and interactive. The combination of textbooks, practice and real life example makes for a very interesting learning experience. I truly felt like I've learned a lot in a relatively short period of time. The only thing that could be changed is the alignment of material to our group. It's geared towards high school/early college individuals, and we are working professionals and a lot of examples were not relevant.

Experiencia fantástica: I have individual lessons with Luis. I enjoy my weekly lessons & my comprehension of spoken Spanish has improved substantially. While the text is a bit dated & better suited to a younger student, it is supplemented with audio & video materials that are more relevant to my daily experiences as an adult. Luis follows the school method and lesson plan while interjecting comments and questions about subjects of interest to me to keep me engaged.

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been studying with my instructor, Luis, for three months. I take private lessons which are intense and worth every penny. He is patient, kind and motivating. The support staff is helpful and welcoming. Jazmine helped me with a tech issue and Carolina at reception let’s me practice Spanish with her when I come and go. I will be moving to Mexico long term in October and can’t wait to see how far I’ve come. I love the easy vibe of this school and will continue classes.

Experiencia fantástica: I am a drop out of a different Spanish school in Denver and could not be happier at the Art of Spanish. I have been a teacher for my entire career so can be fairly picky (and critical). From the moment I walked in to the office (and every time I go) I am greeted warmly and personally. The instructor is very well prepared and the best part has been sitting in class with a delightful group of folks. We are learning thru laughter. Yes, the it is an immersive experience but our instructor also knows when to clarify in English if needed. Sure, the material (textbook and recordings) are a bit dated but that adds to our laughter....and we are all learning with this "360" approach. Expect homework and memorization challenges, but the sky does not fall in if life gets in the way and you can't get it done. Mucho gracias a Javier for creating such a supportive community!!

Well, the teacher had absolutely no idea what he was doing. I think his only qualification was that he speaks Spanish. He just went through the textbook bit by bit and it was awful. I stopped going. To teach a language, you need more than just knowledge of the language, you have to know how to teach.

Experiencia fantástica: I want to start off by saying that these classes and the Art of Spanish Institute was the highlight of my summer. I came in with very basic Spanish and really not understanding the rules of the language. I was only able to take classes for about three months because I moved out of the area but in that short time I learned SO MUCH. My confidence in the language, my understanding of conjugating, use of accents, etc., all grew so much. I took private classes and to be able to speak and think in Spanish for those 1 1/2 hour classes twice a week was seriously so amazing. I learned so much and my brain really got to working. Javier and his team of teachers are all really amazing, hard working, kind and patient people. I can not recommend these classes enough. I had tried online apps and all that but nothing compares to sitting down and having long conversations with a fluent Spanish speaker.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been taking Private Spanish Classes with Javier Morganti for a little over a year now. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this Institute. I am an advanced student, and was worried that the curriculum of the school would not challenge me, but I was wrong! I have re-learned grammatical concepts in ways that I was never taught in high school or college. I was confident with my skills before beginning my classes, but I can honestly say that since taking classes with Javier, I have been able to understand not only how to properly construct sentences, but why I am doing so, which has made speaking and listening so much more relevant and retainable. I love that although it is a small Institute, there are plenty of outside resources for practice, and often times classwork involves audio lessons, or fun fables that you as the student get to elect. On top of the effective curriculum and methodology, I appreciate the care and effort that Javier takes to make the school a comfortable and inviting place for his students. With tuition, I was provided with my own personal book bag that contained all the materials I needed, including pens, notecards, and the textbook. The snack bar is always fully stocked with coffee, La Criox, bars, nuts, and more. My emails and calls are answered immediately, and because I am taking private classes, I can work around my busy schedule. I highly recommend The Art of Spanish Institute LLC. It will give you the rigor and curriculum you desire, but the attention and care of a small, locally owned Institute.

I compared a couple options, met with Javier and toured the facility before committing to work with them - they have a comprehensive, professional program. It's a great match with my goal to develop a deep facility with the language supporting my professional development as a school teacher and ski instructor. My intention taking one- on-one classes with Javier was to learn the language in depth and truly reach a professional speaking level. I am at an higher level, but I wanted to work on my basic grammar and practice speaking with someone. I have been taking classes for a few months, and I have already learned so much more than before. I feel more confident speaking. My family and friends have also noticed a difference in how I speak. Javier teaches in a way that you truly learn how to use the language not just understand it. The teacher makes all the difference and I feel our teacher is extremely precise about our pronunciation and I've grown a ton in my speech since starting here. I also appreciate that we are strongly encouraged to speak only Spanish while in the class and even if we decide to have short "side conversations", we speak in Spanish. Students definitely need to put in some time outside of class, but Javier creates an easy program of writing, listening and speaking to follow outside of class so students become accustomed to the language and improve quickly.

I was born and raised in a Spanish speaking household.. as such it was very important for my parents that I understood English.. this led me to learn English my whole life and just learn Spanish on the sidelines. After college I started travelling the world... 49 states and 110 countries later I found that everywhere I went my Spanish was lacking and "los hispanohalblantes" were speaking beautiful Spanish. I decided 7 years ago to start a self study. Whilst this definitely improved my Spanish, not until I started Javier's school two months ago did my Spanish improve exponentially. I know what your thinking, how could this happen? Immediately they have you listen to conversations and then repeat the conversation back. Entonces, solo Espanol es permitido en las clases... at first I was terrified and then I wished I had enrolled years ago. Zelma is the grammar Nazi and exactly what I needed, she rocks! I can't state enough how much I look forward to attending class. If I wasn't travelling all the time for work I would be at The Art of Spanish Institute 2-3 days a week.

Rosa esta una buena maestra y las clases son divertida! - ( I hope that is correct! ) I had studied Spanish previously but needed a refresher and these classes have been perfect for that. Experiencia fantástica: I have been taking individual lessons at ‘The Art of Spanish’ since June of this year and I am delighted with the setting, the owner, my instructor, and my progress. I would recommend them to anyone looking to learn or improve their Spanish language skills. Initially, I was impressed by the website and the description of Javier’s philosophy of teaching. I have continued to be impressed with every step since then. I contacted Javier by email, received a response right away and was invited to come in and talk to him. After we talked a bit, Javier did a brief, but effective, assessment of my current Spanish language level. He suggested that I start with individualized lessons at the intermediate level. I was ready to learn and signed up for classes right away. My sessions with Rosa have been great! Rosa is a delightful, interesting, and effective teacher. I feel like I was placed at the right level of the curriculum – there are parts that are review for me and parts where I am learning new things. Because these are one-on-one sessions, conducted entirely in Spanish, I have lots of opportunity to talk, to listen, and to learn exactly what I need to learn. Rosa is able to quickly assess my strengths and weaknesses during any lesson – she gives me positive feedback when I’m doing well and lots of patient help where I need it. I am very happy with the progress that I’ve made since I started at ‘The Art of Spanish’. I look forward to my classes every week, time flies when I’m there, and when I leave I’m motivated to do the homework that I’ve been assigned.
