The teachers are friendly, patient, and always supportive, which made learning English feel comfortable and enjoyable. The staff are helpful, and the overall environment is welcoming. What was really important for me was the atmosphere in our classes. All of us are different, but nobody felt stupid or unconfident during the lessons. That’s really cool. We visited many interesting places with our teachers and classmates. Tara and Ellen are the best tourist guides. The hockey game with Ellen was an unforgettable experience, and all the after-school activities with Tara were full of historical information and unusual facts. Douglas is a teacher whose classes were always full of enlightening and useful moments for learning English. I really liked that all his classes had structure.Part "Q and A" was so coooool! Alex’s class was full of conversations about our everyday life, and of course, now we know how to complain about all our problems. What I really remember is how to pronounce many specific nasal sounds in English… it’s horrible , but we have to know them. I keep repeating them because I understand that they are very important. And Anthony… oh, he is our brilliant teacher. We love him so much!!! Every day we expected something new and interesting. Every topic was full of his personal stories, which made the lessons really special. We were also not afraid to share our own personal stories with him and our classmates. Anthony’s skepticism and confidence made our classes emotional and unforgettable! Please give him one more “sandwich hug” from me. Bonita, the headmaster, is a very helpful and kind person who ensures her school runs perfectly and that everyone learns a lot according to their level. The clerks in the office are very friendly and answer every question patiently. Although I was very nervous on my first day, I felt very welcome when I entered the school for the first time. I had two teachers in my class, Alex and Douglas. Both teachers created a great space for communicating with other students about different topics. Vocabulary and grammar are taught in the context of a specific issue, so there is never a dull moment. Thus, students are required to practice the English language constantly. Alex is a teacher full of energy, competence, and humor. No question is a silly question for him, and he takes every student very seriously. Douglas is a teacher with a great passion for the English language. He treats every student with a lot of respect and patience. Once a week, every student has to write an essay on a special topic, and each essay is discussed in detail. With both teachers, I learned so much in just one month. I also enjoyed participating in the activities on Friday. They were well organized and a lot of fun. I can definitely recommend this school, not to mention its excellent location in New York City. Le lezioni sono ben strutturate e i docenti estremamente professionali e preparati: spiegano con chiarezza, rendono le lezioni coinvolgenti e ti aiutano ad acquisire un inglese pratico, utile per la vita di tutti i giorni, senza però trascurare la correttezza grammaticale e anche il registro più formale. In questo modo si impara un inglese completo. Un altro aspetto positivo è la disponibilità e la gentilezza sia dei docenti che di tutto il personale della scuola: ci si sente subito accolti e a proprio agio. Anche il prezzo è molto conveniente rispetto alla qualità offerta. L’unico aspetto che non corrispondeva esattamente alle mie aspettative riguarda l’età media degli studenti. Ci sono persone di tutte le età, ma non troppo giovani, probabilmente anche a causa del periodo in cui ho frequentato. Nonostante ciò, mi sono sentita a mio agio con tutti gli studenti e il personale che sono stati super gentili. In ogni caso, consiglio vivamente questa scuola a chi cerca un ambiente serio, accogliente e stimolante per migliorare davvero e seriamente il proprio inglese.

I gathered up my courage to talk to him, and that moment gave me my very first friend abroad. And the first day of class was quite difficult. But the school staff said that we can adjust the class to match my English ability. I feel and love this school. Every day I go to school, I have good friends and kind teachers. I want many students to study in Manhattan. And everyone will love it as much as I do. Although English may be difficult, don't give up. Keep trying. I will do the same.

Experiencia fantástica: I studied at Manhattan Language for over half a year, and it was an unforgettable experience for me, with their lovely teachers, friendly staff, fun activities, diversity, and amazing classmates. My biggest regret is not coming here earlier so I could study longer, lol. While I was leveling up my language skills in class, the activities helped me adapt easily to a new country. Most importantly, I achieved my goals more easily thanks by help of the teachers who were really interested and supportive. If I will come to the U.S. again, Manhattan Language will be my first and only option, without even thinking about it.

Experiencia fantástica: This school is fantastic! It’s all about Allan as his expertise and kind personality takes center stage throughout Spanish class. The way class is structured was so helpful. Students dive into the deep end of the proverbial pool since Allan will speak mostly Spanish and everyone is promoted to read and encouraged to participate. I’m in Beginner 2 and am understanding and I’m comfortable participating in a basic conversation. I believe the class activities (1:1, small and large groups) have been helpful and it’s a nice opportunity to socialize and meet folks if you happen to be new to the city / want to meet new people. The Manhattan Language School also has great customer service and an intimate office layout. Highly recommend if you’re committed to learning. If you know you’ll miss classes (work, travel etc) please consider joining another time so other students can sit in instead!

Experiencia fantástica: The best English learning experience you can have in America: highest-quality super intense classes with unique teachers and extremely supportive and kind staff. Douglas’ classes are a life experience and Anthony is probably the best business English teacher in the US. They are continuously adapting the classes so the students get the most out of them - it’s really different from all the schools I’ve attended. Bonita, Ellen and the Turkish woman are also super nice and ALWAYS try to help you with anything. A plus: the classmates are there to genuinely learn English and not just to party (a lot of them are there because they moved permanently to nyc - so they really need to master the language). My only regret is not being able to stay longer.

The courses are divided according to the level of preparation assessed by a pre-test and there are multiple levels for each. The professors are very knowledgeable in teaching, the teaching method facilitates learning, and the classes are dynamic and challenging. The professors are the best I've ever had, the classes are interesting, engaging, and fun, and every day you learn something new about the language thanks to the modern and innovative teaching method. The school is in the Wall Street neighborhood. A safe, orderly neighborhood, well connected by transportation, and the school offers a beautiful view of the Statue of Liberty. The school is well organized in space it is not too big, which allows you to get your bearings well and know other students. The school offers extra activities such as theatre, museums, and NBA games. There are wonderful people working in the office at this school who made me feel welcome right away, they are available to solve problems and give information, they are attentive and full of energy, and their smiles and enthusiasm make the days beautiful. I attended this school for 5 months and would have liked to stay much longer. It has been a second family for me. The school took care of the selection of my host family and I was very satisfied. The family was used to hosting students and they were also helpful and welcoming. If I had to give a grade I would be 10/10 to the school and 10/10 to the family. During this term, I got many friends regardless of age or native place even the teachers became my friends because they have abundant activities. It was really useful to do it! Manhattan Language School is a school where teachers give good quality classes even if you're a beginner like that and your English skills will surely improve. People of all ages from different countries came to learn English, so I really enjoyed listening to other countries' cultures. The teachers are very unique people and they can enjoy taking classes instead of formal, quietly and boring classes in Japan. I felt that it was a school in an environment where even those over 30 years old who were trying to study abroad could feel at ease. The quality of everything, including teachers, staff, students and location are high and everyone can be satisfied with this school. I went with my sister for six weeks and our english has improved a lot, our teachers were open to explain to us every single question we had (and believe me there were a lot). Experiencia negativa: Be aware of any language school in New York that only has White instructors. Yes, their students may be diverse from different places - but that's all they see you as. Customers. Just a revolving door for F1 status. Recently, Manhattan Language has had advertisements up looking for ESL Instructors. As an experiment, we had 10 people apply. Most with a TOEFL certificate, one with higher credentials. They all had resumes with white sounding names. We then had five of different backgrounds with Master degrees in ESL or better qualifications. Only the first group got call backs. We are running this study as part of a thesis on discrimination in education in private English education. Manhattan Language proves the point. Their website is clear. A look at their staff demonstrates they are all White/Hispanic with lighter complexions. In NY - people come from everywhere. Non-white people can teach too. They come from places like South Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, Latin America, Eastern Europe, Asia etc. Management needs to get into the 21st century NY. Not strategies from the late 1980s.

I really grateful for the experience, all the staff is very nice, you feel like at your home. You can learn a lot in every class, the teachers are very very good!!! Also you know great people from different parts of the world. I wanna back to Manhattan Lenguage and I recomend it for all who want have a inolvidable experience :)

Experiencia fantástica: The need to improve my business English led me to take lessons for working professionals a little over a year ago. From the first lesson, it became clear - this is what I was looking for! The lessons were real simulations of working cases from the professional business field, but I think more important than this is the fact that our teacher was really interested in each lesson, his charisma, and attitude towards each student made every lesson significantly helpful. As a pandemic started I wanted to continually improve my speaking skill taking lessons online - this is not just convenient for me as a full-time worker, I am immensely pleased that I am learning from the best tutor and working on the quality of my speech, approaching it to the coveted level. So learning with ML for more than a year, I have only good and positive impressions - I have noticeably improved my speech and this is undoubtedly a great merit of my tutor Anthony and ML!

I remember how fascinated I was when I first got here by how people are incredibly friendly and ambitious. Concerning the personnel, I have studied for almost every teacher there and I loved them all!! I loved their teaching style the most, every single one of them has a different method of teaching and I have never disliked any of their methods. Also, administrators and managers are extremely kind and helpful. What’s more, I have been studying at the school for almost 4 months and my English has been improving ever since. More importantly, thanks to this amazing, wonderful, and astonishing school, I got my IELTS score, YAY!!!. Lastly, if you ever decided to join the school, I would advise you to never miss their fabulous activities.

More than just a school it is like a big family, and it is always productive and fun to study in a comfortable and family like environment. Concerning education they have all kind of teacher and all of them are "weird" and for the majority it makes them special. Right now i am a college student, like i said before the service is special, I am grateful to them because they helped me a lot through the process of getting in. The teacher is very knowledgeable and has nice experiences working with different countries and cultures. I highly recommend taking this class if you are a business student, a doctor, or anyone doing international business relations. I learned a lot of useful information from this class that I can apply in my work. It was interesting to learn about doing business with different countries. Experiencia fantástica: I'm very careful and meticulous, so I didn't want to decide a school before I actually viewed one. However, I had to for my Visa application. I looked at so many websites, maybe more than 50, to find a school, and I noticed that Manhattan Language had a great reputation and was highly recommended. And now I can say that those it is true and my decision to choose Manhattan Language was right. I would like to talk especially about my teachers. Every teacher has the passion to encourage us to perform our best. Their professional and positive attitude inspires us not only in academic enrichment, but also in our view of life. I really appreciate them. For many people, of course , including me, studying abroad is challenging. Also, life in a big city like NY is very tough, so when I had just moved, I was vulnerable. But all the kind staff, teachers and other students helped me out. Although Improving English is not easy, I will just keep studying with them until I'm satisfied with my English ability!

As a 20-year veteran in English teaching in Taiwan, I was amazed by the fact that M.L. creates an environment where you feel free to express yourself in English all the time. M.L. really makes you engaged in learning. Well, it is easier said than done reaching this point, given my years of teaching experience. I'll never forget the fond memories of having discussions and sharing personal stories with all those foreign classmates. All my friends and the staff in M.L., I shall return!

The whole year which I studied there was full of education and communication in English and that is very important when you start studying English from the elementary level. Teachers are friendly and patient with you, trying encourage you to talk something in English. For me the most unforgetable day in the school was last spring when I won two broadway show tickets at the School's open door day party! A lot of activities which Manhattan Language creates for students are so helpful to improve your english!
