I want to express my deepest gratitude to my interpreter, Tatiana, for her outstanding work. We met once before the interview so I could provide her with a copy of my story. This allowed her to fully understand the context of my case beforehand. On the day of the interview, Tatiana arrived right on time. We had a brief chat about life before going in, which surprisingly helped me relax and eased my nerves. Although I speak English, I tend to get confused or lose my words when switching between languages under pressure—especially regarding complex topics like government harassment and structural pressure. Tatiana’s assistance was absolutely essential in those moments. Even though I was alone in the room with the officer, having Tatyana there made me feel so much stronger and more confident than I would have been on my own. The interview went smoothly, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend both TLC and Tatiana!

The book club course is a wonderful opportunity to grow vocabulary and embrace more complex sentence structures - and it's a ton of fun to make the mental trip across the pond with every class.

Experiencia fantástica: Before taking TLC's TESL program, I had spent a few years teaching English locally as a family mentor, followed by a stint teaching English internationally. I wish I had taken TLC's TESL program before I began teaching! It is an excellent program which set me up for success in the classroom. In the program, you begin by learning about teaching methodologies and tips from experienced trainers. Then you teach your classmates in order to practice your newly acquired teaching skills in a helpful environment with others who are learning. The final stage of the TESL course is a practicum in which you teach English students while still being supported by a TESL trainer. All along the way, you are instructed in how to create effective lesson plans and activities. By the time I began teaching again after the TESL program, I felt fully prepared to conduct my own lessons. I wholeheartedly recommend TLC's TESL program!

My teacher, Naoko Takeda, has been excellent in setting a rigorous pace for my Japanese class, while also being patient as we struggle with the target language. Her first-hand knowledge of Japanese language and culture has been a great help.

Experiencia fantástica: I completed TLC's TESL certificate in December of 2023. This is a excellent program taught by a diverse group of instructors with decades of experience and high standards. The 150 hours of training includes real classroom student teaching [virtual or in-person]. The practicum well prepares students to begin teaching as soon as they complete the program. TLC's support and encouragement are phenomenal. I was recruited by a handful of businesses and universities within a couple of months after completing this program. I highly recommend it!

TLC communicated pertinent information to help prepare me before the class started. During the program, experienced and thoughtful instructors/teachers provided valuable lessons and practical hands-on teaching opportunities that provided a solid foundation for teaching ESL. After the program, TLC teachers and staff as a whole helped me find teaching opportunities and have always been available to provide support and guidance while helping me grow as an ESL teacher. Overall, I had and continue to have a wonderful experience with TLC and would recommend anyone who has an interest in becoming an ESL teacher.

I was working full time while getting certified and found that I could manage both due to the consistent and effective schedule, and wonderful teachers! Its totally worth getting certified with TLC!

Experiencia fantástica: I completed their 150-hour TESL program last year, and the training was exactly what I was looking for. I had tutored English to English language learners for a few years, but this TESL program taught me a far more effective and natural approach supported by a variety of methods. I can now confidently teach English instead of just tutoring it. The online program is a serious time commitment with two-hour classes, typically followed by homework due before the next class. When I took it, the classes were Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and it was a rush to understand and internalize the last lesson before the next. The practicum is intense, but it is a supervised experience actually applying everything you've learned with real students. Personally, I saw my strengths, weaknesses, and particular teaching style much more clearly because of it and gained a lot of confidence to teach. The instructors are amazing (and understanding if something unusual has occurred), the content is relevant and well-organized, and the overall effect is a full course to teach ESL with a plethora of resources to begin your own teaching toolbox. If you're interested in teaching ESL in the US or internationally, this is a fantastic TESL program. I took it online, including the practicum with virtual classes. I had needed a legitimate, rigorous course, but it had to be online, and that was a challenge to find until I was pointed to them. I understand that they also have an in-person option. If you have questions, reach out to them. They are remarkably patient and fielded many, many questions and concerns while I was looking into the program and taking the course.

This is not like your typical high school Spanish class. You learn vocabulary that helps in communicating with Spanish speaking students within a classroom setting.

Experiencia negativa: Beginner Spanish will have a lot of emphasis on pronunciation punctuation and grammar if you're thinking of going and taking this class and then speaking Spanish in Mexico in conversation this is not conversational Spanish you tube has better Spanish classes the reason I gave 1 star I couldn't give no stars I got more out of a 6 dollar book off Amazon than 400 I spent on this course if I was to describe this course in a sentence it would be useless word salad
